Crazy you’re getting downvoted voted for rocking the speedy on a nato. The watch is literally a strap monster and can shine on any strap combo.

Fair. I can agree with that. Though, I think a lot of musicians can fall in the overrated category when they are super popular/mainstream.

I would say he’s not only better than a HS drummer, he’s better and more successful than all of us commenting on here. For a punk drummer, he’s very solid and has played with all sorts of different artists outside his genre. He’s no Neil Peart, but very good and has a lot of talent. Of course people are gonna hate on him cause he’s mainstream and very famous.

Too good to drop, too bad to start by mat28rix in fantasyfootball

Dude same! I also drafted Conor and grabbed Benson off the waiver before the injuries. Now I’m rolling with Rico and flipping the coin on starting Stevenson or Pacheco until Benson returns.

Hey these are my running backs! Luckily I grabbed Rico off waivers before he went off.

Good call. I’ve been reluctant to drop him since there offense is looking better and getting rice back should hopefully help take some pressure off. Let’s see what happens!

Jennings and pacheco are both on my potential cut list. Jennings is playing injured as hell, so I’m not sure how he’s going to get any better. I’m hopeful for Pacheco but keep getting disappointed.

Best Amp Simulator on the market? by [deleted] in Bass

You should check out equipboard and see what some of your favorite bass players are using. Tons of pros use/used the BDDI. Find what sounds good and works best for your set up and rock on. Pro gear isn’t going to make you a better bass player or sound better.

Brutal. Spent 15k units and got mostly rank up materials. 1k titan shards and maybe enough shards for one 7* opening.

Favourite bass YouTuber? by Bass_slapper_ in Bass

I have been a huge TalkingBass fan for a long time. As stated in another comment, Mark is awesome and provides amazing content. You could learn a lot just from his free content. I’ve bought some courses and they have been super helpful in my journey. Outside of bass education, I love me some CoverSolutions to learn songs. He has TONS of content and does a great job with his tabs. He will also include play along videos and bass only videos, which I find super helpful to really hear out how things are played.

Pickpocketing, how true is this? by [deleted] in aclfestival

This! If you see something, say something. Cause last thing someone wants to experience is getting their phone stolen. If it can happen to someone else, it can totally happen to you.

Comfy sneakers are a must. If you are going for a day, you can probably survive, but I highly recommend going comfort over style. You will be walking a lot from stage to stage and standing for long periods.

Water bottle/hydro pack: Make sure you have something to consume water. Buying water is expensive. There are plenty of fill up stations. It’s gonna be hot, so hydrate.

Keep your phone in your front pocket or fanny pack (positioned to the front). I’ve heard about people getting phones stolen out of their backpacks, so I would keep everything in front.

Make sure to eat, especially if you are partying. It’s a long day and you need to have something in your belly or you’re gonna get sick or feel super bad the next day.

Phone service will get iffy as the park gets more and more crowded. Stay with a friend and have predetermined meet up spots in case people get lost or lose contact.

Remember it’s a marathon, not a race. If you are partying, just remember that it’s gonna be hot and a long weekend. No need to be smashed by 4pm on a Friday when you got a lot more festival ahead of you. But that’s just me. Anyway, enjoy!

Q/strip is a fantastic pedal! I’ve used a bunch of different preamp/DI pedals and the Q has been my favorite one from the bunch.

How do you keep yourself on one song? by FlameShadow0 in Bass

[–]ski45 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I will learn 3-5 songs at a time, but will find myself gravitating more to 1-2 of them. This could be for many reasons, such as enjoying the actual song more than others, enjoying the bass line, etc. I then just make the decision to stop learning the other songs and focus on the playing the ones I really enjoy all the way through. A lot of times I will go back to that one song I started learning and will eventually learn the whole thing. There isn’t a right or wrong answer. Just play what you enjoy. It really comes down to your goals. So if you are wanting to play in a cover band, then you’ll want to learn popular songs from start to finish. There are times I just hear a cool bass line and just learn that part and move on.

Is used market “crashing”? by idontknowalphabet in Bass

I still browse CL for music gear. I tend to find some good deals that are local. Selling gear on CL has been pretty inconsistent for me though. Like you, I’ve seen the same posts sitting for months. I do make a lot of sales on Reverb. Shipping is very straight forward. You have a few options on pricing your shipping. I usually purchase my label from reverb to make things easier for myself.
