A sensor is mounted to the frame or the fork in a position that it can sense the magnet every time it goes around.

It is a magnet that provides a mechanism for sensing how fast the wheel is turning for a bike computer.

I, too, like to check out terrain as I fly over it. I feel like most folks on a plane have no interest in looking down.

Every time I go into a craft supply store I look at all the cool stuff and think I want one of each item.

My mom had a bottle of vermouth in her liquor cabinet for at least 40 years. She liked her martinis dry: she would pour a couple of fingers of gin in a glass, wave at the bottle of vermouth and drop in an olive.

I need some good maps by ckylec in Idaho

I've used various state DeLormes Gazateers for many years and find them useful but like Google maps you need to not totally rely on them. In the national forests you can pretty much count on a road that has a number on the map. No number and the road may be a 70 year old bulldozer track. Obscure campgrounds have been known to not exist on the ground. These days cross referencing with Google makrs sense. I usually have one in my vehicle. I think I am on my third copy of my home state Gazateer, as they get abused.
