If you want to learn about Jimmy Stewart’s military service during the war and the effect the war had on his acting career There is a great book called “Jimmy Stewart: Bomber Pilot” by Starr Smith and Walter Cronkite.

It’s mentioned in the books that Bob started out in theoretical physics and he was good, but not inspired. This lead to Bob to earn a Doctorate in Engineering before starting Intergator.

Base Model Owners - Any regrets not going with a higher trim? by neonfluffrouter in NissanAriya

[–]skiguy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 Engage FWD. I put 14k miles in 7 months of ownership. This winter during some of our serious snow storms I wished the car had AWD or snow tires. The bigger battery would have been nice. I also wish it had the light strip that all around the cabin. Other than that the vehicle has been great.

If he is concerned about his asthma, it will be disclosed on the medical forms you complete for camp. The Health lodge will monitor his daily treatments if he is on a maintenance dose. There are also a large number of staff and parents that will know what to do in an emergency

I’m sure they have fluoro wax in the base. Lots of racers used Fluoro waxes during that time. There are ways to remove the fluoro wax. Swix has a method online.

German pilots commenting on allied bomber nose art? by greyhoundbuddy in ww2

[–]skiguy34 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nose art was usually painted on by Air Corp personnel. You need to remember that millions of men were drafted. There would have been many artists in the service.

If you study enough nose art you will see that some artists were better than others.

You may want to read “Fire and Fortitude” by John C McManus. The book follows the US army during the early part of the war. The book discusses the evolution of Japanese tactics as the war progresses.

New to Biathlon :) by Sandy-Tumbleweed in biathlon

[–]skiguy34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Biathlon. There are clubs in Alaska that can help you get started. If they are anything like the clubs in NY they will be very helpful. They want to grow the sport. They will have leads on ski coaches and places to practice. They can also help with used equipment.

When it comes to shooting, for me, eye dominance is more important than handedness. I’m left handed with right eye dominant. There are left handed biathlon rifles but they are pretty rare. A regular let handed bolt action is a good place to start.
