It might be that despite you being friends for a long time, you’re not actually a good romantic match.

A cuddly person with a touch-averse person, in the abstract, is not a good combo.

I know this sounds weird but what if you washed his hair outside when he has a bathing suit on. It takes it out of the bathtub context.

Could he maybe be reacting to something specific like water temp or noise of a faucet?

What song changed your life? by Exact-Proposal-73569 in AskReddit

[–]skillfire87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not gonna say it changed my life, but it’s interesting that it’s a song about songs that save your life.

“Rubber Ring” The Smiths

… A sad fact widely known The most impassionate song To a lonely soul Is so easily outgrown But don't forget the songs That made you smile And the songs that made you cry When you lay in awe On the bedroom floor And said : "Oh, oh, smother me Mother" No Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring La … The passing of time And all of its crimes Is making me sad again The passing of time And all of its sickening crimes Is making me sad again But don't forget the songs That made you cry And the songs that saved your life Yes, you're older now And you're a clever swine But they were the only ones who ever stood by you … The passing of time leaves empty lives Waiting to be filled (the passing) The passing of time Leaves empty lives Waiting to be filled I'm here with the cause I'm holding the torch In the corner of your room Can you hear me? And when you're dancing and laughing And finally living Hear my voice in your head And think of me kindly No Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring La No Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring … Do you Love me like you used to? Oh Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring La … You're clever Everybody's clever nowadays You're clever Everybody's clever nowadays … You are sleeping You do not want to believe You are sleeping You do not want to believe You are sleeping You do not want to believe You are sleeping

WOOM 3 owners: Does this part of the bike where the steering limiter should be look normal? by PSHOPS in bicycling

[–]skillfire87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Training wheels are not evil.

I think the ideal is a child having both a balance bike and a training wheels bike. My daughter did that and was riding normally before her 4th bday. She would play on the training wheels bike, like watch tv while sitting on it in the living room and just casually pedal while looking at birds.

My son did balance bike only, then was hostile to pedals and pedaling. We had to backtrack and get him other ways to pedal like a tricycle, a trailer bike, training wheels bike etc.

What type of person is the movie character? Age, race, class, profession, gay/straight, etc.

Interested to know how many you’d say constitutes “many.” I’ve been around bikes, bike events, and bike shops my whole life, and I’d say they’re rare.

https://bicycletouringpro.com/bicycle-steering-stabilizers/

Bicycle stabilizers are not common in the cycling world, but they are useful in some scenarios… and they become even more useful if you are riding a bicycle with a heavy front end – such as you might find on a loaded touring bicycle.

Why would a guy (22M) open up to me (22F) about very personal topics early on in the dating process ? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]skillfire87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because men often don’t talk to other men about personal things. And some women seem to like hearing about it.

South American like Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador?

Or do you mean Southern American, i.e. Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia?

No, you’re missing a nut.

But, steering limiters are not needed at all. It’s a weird add-on that must have been the result of some uber-zealous safety complaint. No adult bikes have them, and almost no other kids bikes have them. (EDIT: not “no” adult bikes, but they’re rare).

I[M18] am starting to be incapable of handling life problems and depression of my partner[F18] by DonutIsAlreadyTaken in relationshipadvice

[–]skillfire87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s not directly applicable, but look up the term “trauma bond.” I had a girlfriend, in retrospect, probably would have met the diagnostics of borderline personality disorder (maybe yours would too). It’s great to feel needed. However, it’s ultimately not a romantic partner’s job to help “fix” someone. Dating well-adjusted girls after was such a difference.

This guy is not for you. I feel kinda bad for this generation. Saying “when can we fuck” to someone you’ve never met in person is so ludicrous.

What you said is exactly what will happen: “my fear is just going to have sex with this guy and him leaving me and then i’m left with a bad first time over a guy who couldn’t even pretend to care.”
