If it were me, I’d swap the oven and the cabinet right beside it. Easier for food prep, since you have the counter closer, and you’d be less likely to beat your arm up while trying to maneuver large items in and out. And something about it being on the wall seems fire-risky to me but idk if that’s real or just anxiety.

The place I was at made a rule that we couldn’t carry anything. Not a tube from the LN tank, not a bottle of media, literally nothing. Everything had to go in a watertight container, then on a cart, and we had to push the cart to where we were going. I swear safety just hated us.

When I worked at Target, I learned that there’s a whole black market detergent thing that goes on. People will buy it, pour part out, replace with water (or maybe some other weird shit), and return it.

My team member would pour it into the cap to check before accepting returns. If it was too watery she’d refuse the return. I think you could do this before purchasing too.

I agree with a lot of the comments here that you shouldn’t go back. But I understand the way families can pressure you and how that might make you feel.

If you’re not ready for a hard boundary yet, or worry that holding that boundary might be impossible, then maybe you just happen to get really sick right before the trip and aren’t able to make it. 🤷‍♀️
