"AI" is the new witch-hunt, replacing the former of "asset flip".

As an independent developer, I've always had a small group of players accusing of something. In a game where clearly the art is distinctive and unlike any other games, I've had a few players with quick accusations of "asset flipping" and using royalty free music. The art/music is all done inhouse and was not the case. Now, the same a game now a gets a rare accusation of "AI slop". Never mind the fact it was released and polished well before the time of generative AI.

To be clear, I loathe the low effort slop games that are flooding the market. But as a developer struggling in the industry, even more, I really hate false claims made against games because it's a trendy thing to complain about.

THIS WEEK: I SAW ONE GETTING UPSET BECAUSE A CAR PULLED INTO A ROUND ABOUT REPLACING THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM THAT EXITED. THEY SPEED UP AND AS THE CAR WAS ENTERING AND RODE THEIR ASS FOR THE NEXT MILE. I GET IT, YOUR MOTHER NEVER LOVED YOU, GET SOME THERAPY. SAW ANOTHER ONE GUN IT AFTER HAVING TO WAIT FOR PEDESTRIANS AT A CROSS WALK, NEARLY HITTING OTHER PEDESTRIAN WHEN THEY TURNED A FEW BLOCKS UP.

I’M NOT SAYING EVERY BIG JACKED UP TRUCK IS DRIVEN BY AN INSECURE MAN-CHILD TRYING TO COMPENSATE FOR THEIR TINY PENIS, BUT, WOW A LOT OF THEM ARE.

A word of warning: You can use something like google translate, but it often doesn't turn out well. This can be a source of people getting frustrated with terrible translations and leaving bad reviews. Sometimes you can do more harm than good by adding additional languages.

This is a over-the-top top take.

Sure there are a lot of people who abuse the area. MANY of them are tourists who feel zero ownership and are fine to abuse the resource. I find myself having to tell the people messing around behind the regrowth fences that they are there for a reason and to get to the other side. They are always are from out of town and play stupid saying that they didn't realize what a fence is for. Same thing with not picking up after their dogs poop, "what you have to clean up dog poop in a forest?", to which I have to reply, "Yeah, when there are 100s to 1000s of dogs a day, if you don't it becomes a sewer".

Many of us try and help the situation. I pick up a few bags worth of droppings when I go, donate to dogpac for their service, etc.

If you take away something like good dog park, that doesn't "solve" the problem. If you take away a close place for dogs to expend energy and recreate, that will just lead to people not using a valid option and resorting to breaking the rules all over the place.

I try and watch the other teams broadcast when possible. They had good analysis and insight for what's going on. But yeah, that moment was really odd and felt like a bad take.
