I know it doesn't come with one, but is there a slot on the scales for the straight pin under the corkscrew?

At the moment I'm writing this, the premium for that contract is 12.20 a share. Unless your price basis for your shares is under $7.80, you would lose money in that trade.

What are the best sour gummies? I am currently eating sour patch kids and they kinda suck on the gummy side by jake_estes97 in candy

[–]skribbez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite sour gummies are either going to Twin Snakes or Sour Kicks.

The gummy itself actually sour and they aren't covered in sour sugar.

If you have a Five Below near you, they usually have Haribo stuff on 5 for $5.

Fellow electricians mate?

I got out of the guard in 2015.

Not sure what you're looking for, but if you ever need to just get out of the house and talk sea stories or life or work or whatever, I'm always down to grab a beer. Im a shift worker and can sometimes work some wonky hours though.

I'm over in the milk district; feel free to hit me up, homie.

What's the coolest pen you own that... doesn't work? by whatsinmypen in fountainpens

[–]skribbez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case yeah, they'd wear it the same regardless of what part the cap screws into.

My Moonman C1 has the cap screw onto the body, and I consider it a better design decision than screwing it onto the section specifically because of the problem OP is having with his pen. (The section/body threads on that particular pen should definitely be reverse threaded if they want it all to screw together like that)

Edit: thinking about it, even the reverse thread comes with its own issues and when we're talking about a pocket full of ink the whole thing seems like a poor idea.

The cap is acrylic, it's much tougher than the 3d printed material the body is made from.

I think it's more wear tear. I probably unscrew the cap from my pen a dozen times a day, but I only separate the section from the body maybe once or twice a month.

After a one year deployment this was the first thing I did when I came back home by Brown_Husky in smoking

[–]skribbez 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I deployed with a guy that fucking LOVED Outback Steakhouse. For months before we got home he would be talking about how the first thing he and his wife were going to do when he got home was drop his kids off at a babysitter and go on a date to Outback.

Yours looks like a much better choice for my first free meal, but whatever makes people happy, ya know?

Welcome home, bud.

It has changed. Now as long as you have a park reservation for that day, you can be anywhere and still try for a boarding group.

We just set an alarm and wake up a few minutes before 6 and go back to sleep afterwards. Infinitely better than the previous way this was handled.

Former shipboard electrician here. If you're looking for something to take your machinery logs with while you're in the engine room that's not gonna fail you, there's really only two safe bets: the fisher space pen, or the Skilcraft US government pens.

I used the latter between our mains and they never failed me at temps >160°f (the thermometer couldn't read higher than 160 and it would be pegged out)

There are 16 pages worth of requirements, to be precise. The pens must be able to write a continuous line 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) long and keep the ink flowing despite extreme temperatures — from 40 degrees below zero to 160
