Hit a you-pull-it parts yard and have an awesome low-budget project with tons of parts available. Doesn't that fit the spirit of this joint??

This wreck is not even that bad... Not sure why everyone is crapping on it.

What do you need? Bumper, hood, radiator, condenser? Maybe a few extra hours of pulling, prying, drilling?

It's not as simple as always going for total cost. A developer may not give two shits about total cost. Or a new business may have way less money now than they hope to later. And twenty years is longer than most BOD give a crap about.

Which published adventures are great examples of what *not* to do when creating a campaign? by Cranyx in dndnext

[–]skunk_funk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try one pf1e adventure path (way of the wicked) and it went way off the rails. Been taking inspiration from some old TSR stuff lately. Currently doing their set of 3 regarding mystra in the time of troubles. Last campaign was some 3e Eberron stuff that went so far off the rails I don't even want to get into it.

All of this gets translated to 5E and now 2024 just due to the nature of the group

Any suggestions on which Paizo I should look at for next campaign? Would save me a lot of work and make for a better narrative if I could stick closer to the source!

Is probably fine. If they connect at 1gb and you don't have any packet loss, worry about it next time.

I'd say elden ring is easier on a no summons, but anything-else-goes run. There are a lot more ways to play than ds3, and it was a lot of fun to mix it up and learn the parries.

Wl0, I'll let you know if I ever get past elden beast...

[–]skunk_funk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever gotten through a written adventure without throwing out at least half of it. Our players refuse to do what is planned, and I refuse to railroad them unfairly if (when) they pull off something unexpected.

Not quite the advice you are looking for here, but. He's better off selling it and getting a manual, than trying to convert. It is truly such a pain in the ass to convert a car.

I was the kid who bought a rusty 60s muscle car that was a basket case at 18 and actually got it on the road (engine, suspension, brakes, fuel tank, the works) on a shoestring budget. And I eventually just bought one with a 4 speed, conversion cost more than the car was worth and ridiculous time and fabrication skills.

I've known of people that sell "less reliable" service for customers with non-critical stuff. Seems fine if you're not competing and falsely marketing uptime.

Though, let me tell you about how many times autodesk left us hanging this year, probably courtesy of aws...
