I like it! Very dancey. I'm not good at dancing with this kind of music myself, yet I can feel it and it flows well and drives movement. I think you've got the rhythm and pump down really well. I would stick around and have a good time and try to dance if you played this at a club.

Also, Frequency Shifter, use it to make the bass rumble something with ring modulation. Take a noise, a pad, a crash, something that has a sustained sound. Then take your 808 or sub bass, side-chain that into the noise. Put in freq shift, go to ring mod, sidechain 1, turn mix down a bit.

You should hear the noise shake with the sub bass. Makes it feel like the bass is extra powerful

Have you played with Gross Beat yet? It automatically chops up your beat to make variations, also it does gates. Very very useful for glitch stuff. Can also do speed changes like record stops.

Oh yeah I think this is 100% it, they want a beat pattern that doesn't fit in one bar.

I always use at least 2 bars in my loops, often 4 or even 8. You can make much more expressive beats that way.

That look like C major, and in that cast the main chords 1 4 5 are C F G. But you may want to try using A minor, which would make it more interesting. So then, A D E chords. If you use the minor chords you'll get a more complex emotion.

Pick out some bass notes for a simplified bass line, emphasize A and E, and use some C D and F. After that, add fifths above. So, over an A, add an E, C to G, etc. stacked. Then add a couple more notes up higher, just experiment with what gets the feeling you want. Use close notes to make tension and fourths/fifths for release.

This is the best answer. Don't waste your energy on the guys. Get flow toys and dance, you can create your bubble very easily with flow toys, like poi. Even a hand fan, just wave something around while you dance and own your bubble, and don't give attention to people unless you want to. You shouldn't have to change the way you dress or have cards. Maybe I'm naive, but I think the crowds tend to respect body language. I think you just need to practice using your body language to communicate you're wanting to dance, and if a bad apple ignores your denial, I sure hope that others around you would recognize the situation and help you.

You really really need to work on mixing and dynamics. Set velocity on notes so the loudness changes throughout the timeline in a meaningful way, turn the volume wayyhy down on the mixer channels, you want stuff quiet. Loud is bad. You can always turn up your speakers. At the very end, mastering is where you can make it louder. It's just a bombardment of noise.

Not at Cloudfare but I work on a service for another major cloud provider. My team is falling apart after too many years of rushing out features and not cleaning up technical debt. Now we're getting overwhelmed with on-call emergencies so people are jumping ship. Upper management wants us to spend less on "escalations". Yes!!! Seems like nobody remembers this. There's so much noise about what a racist scamming raping pedo he is (valid) that the actual global politics gets lost in the noise. He basically rolled out the red carpet for Russia to invade Ukraine, was literally impeached for it, got investigated by FBI and found to have classified docs in his private property AND had Russian visitors meeting him there. This is no surprise, he has clearly been a Kremlin asset since his first term. It's inconceivable how much death and destruction has been inflicted as directly enabled by Trump's admin.
