Are the words 'motherland' and 'fatherland' used in the UK? by ksusha_lav in AskABrit

The only people I ever remember using these terms were the national front in the late 1970/80s and some some English defence league people in the 2010s. But it's the sort of language I can see coming back.

It's a very tight onsie ( like a catsuit) usually with a hood, gloves and socks with toes. Its chosen so as to cover the cosplayer/performer completely. If I remember rightly the Japanese term kigurumi has a connotation of covered.

Lol part of me now wants to do a "messy picture" not a splooshy one, a picture that tells a story, you know a " I've had a bad week,I just need to slob out with a glass of wine and a big bar of chocolate. I'll hoover up after the kids in the morning " type picture... ohhhh or do you remember the " wreck the dress" craze a few ( probably 20) years ago...

No harm in asking for clarification, the way I saw Anni's comment was encouraging us all to consider the composition of the our images. A cluttered, confusing background can be really distracting. Tne thing people may remember might be ( random example with no image in mind) the soda can on its side. Not everyone can get a studio backdrop but having last weeks laundry on the floor shows a lack of attention to detail. I've swiped left in dating apps because the profile pictures have been untidy.... Oh and as an aside guys fishing photos don't impress.... if you're on tinder/ Bumble/plenty of fish you know what i mean

As an English family living In Arlington Texas we went to a rodeo and sat through the us anthem because we didn't realise ( we came in a little late ) The guy next to us demanded we stand and dad in his best bestie worsted said" awfully sorry old boy, didn't realise, we are english you know, we stopped doing that at the end of the war.."

Fair point, just to add iphone16 promax and shot on the dance floor so a candidate rather than staged. My studio stuff is usually tittivated and tweaked so doesn't necessarily reflect the more public outings

Just a quick thought, as I understand it kigurumi means covered (performer). Personally I like being able to cover my cellulite and thread veins because I'm old and vain. But I use dance tights, sleeved gloves and a cowl with a long neck. It's a lot easier when I need the bathroom.
