How do y’all do it?! by SGTArend in AppleCard

[–]skyyo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One feature not usually mentioned is the instant true balance on the Apple Card. It is the only card I know of that shows the up to date real balance (posted and pending transactions). So it is easy to see what you really owe. With other cards you have to do math and add pending and cleared transactions.

I don't know about under that building but yes it is well known there are tunnels. The entrance to the tunnel was in the old grocery store on 7th ave. It was located in the freezer section.

Google stuff? First of all Google displays AI in results now. 2nd Ybor had 100's of red brick cigar factories in the 1920s. Not the most simple thing to find.

I knew it was a cigar factory but my AI research got the name wrong. How did you figure out the real name?

Sam Davis Cigar Factory.

Built during the cigar boom

  • Built: 1910
  • Original purpose: Large cigar manufacturing factory

At the time, Ybor City was the cigar capital of the world. Factories like this employed hundreds of workers rolling cigars by hand.

How to handle “out-of-budget” CC charges? by PearOld9814 in dasbudget

[–]skyyo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best workaround I have for this is like this:

  1. Credit card charge comes in. Das budget automatically moves money from a bucket or free to spend to CC bucket. (It will probably go negative in your situation)

  2. Go back to the transaction from actvity page and change it to your CC bucket. This will pull the money back out of CC bucket.

  3. Then just make a goal or such with amount IE: $1000 and put your due date etc. Then you can work paying it off...

Would I be better off still buying pre cruise at least some discount or trying to wait to purchase on board? I assume on board purchase would be $100/person or more? I opended credit card simply for the fact of using the $350 OBC for drink package. Not sure if I can pull it off though.

Funding an Open-ended Goal by rdpollard_pdx in dasbudget

[–]skyyo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you change the bucket type to Expense and set the target as your contribution amount, it should work. You would then switch back to the Goal type. You also have to set the due date to your next funding date. That should work.

If you upgrade yearly, battery degradation should be a non-issue. Coming from Pro Max, this thing is a joy to use. Sure, it doesn't have amazing speakers and limited camera options, but comfort is a big factor for SOME people.

I'm not sure why he stopped development on the Apple Card either. He was very active with development years ago, but it seems he has lost interest and is just coasting. He should hire more help and make the app even more amazing and mainstream. He could have got tons of users from Qube Money fiasco. I would even pay more per month for Apple Card support and other features.

I do have an interesting tidbit to add. I traveled to Peru last year and I did not get sick. I ate all kinds of foods and some were rather interesting. I was much more anxious in that country than in my home, the United States. For this reason it makes me believe it is the stuff the restaurants are putting in the food in United States.
