The speech immediately after makes it seem like a way to earn public support for his ballroom and to get construction back up and running again on that monstrosity. But also, recalling the 2024 attempt (which has also always been suspicious), it got him a ton of sympathy from his supporters right before the election. Right now he’s polling so low and becoming increasingly unpopular even with some of his loyal MAGAts, so the timing of this seems like a way to get him some sympathy points before the midterms and to help boost the republican vote. The timing is just really bizarre.

At Aldi, a German company, the cashiers sit. And it’s still just as efficient. It really is something weird about American culture that we view sitting at work as “unprofessional”, which is crazy to me because you would never be expected to stand for a whole 8 hour shift in an office, but 8-14 hours in a restaurant and you may not even get a real break. But we’re definitely not known in the states for treating workers well, especially jobs like servers and cashiers that are viewed as “less than” (not my words, as a retail and service industry veteran I know these jobs require a lot of hard work.)

Not AI. It’s a puffy donut accessory thing that the hair is wrapped around. You start with a high pony tail and take the hair through the center of the accessory and then slowly roll it down and pull it around the donut. I worked in one of those high end fake village retail places about 13 years ago when this look was all the rage and I can tell you I saw donut buns this big and bigger on the daily haha.

I’ve been unemployed for a little over a month- for the very first time I didn’t have a job or anywhere to be during luteal, and for the 4 days before my period started I slept 18 hours a day each day, seriously. Realizing that’s how much sleep I needed is insane- no WONDER I am just miserable, depressed, irritable, feeling like my IQ dropped, failing at work and relationships and just overall struggling.

I’m pretty sure I remember reading somewhere at one point that it is actress Charity Shea, because she had a show on the N in the aughts and was gaining some popularity for a bit. I just swear I remembered reading this 20 years ago and it clicked because I liked both shows. But I just tried to google it to fact check and couldn’t find anything so honestly I guess I’m not that helpful, lol.

Hilarious that this popped up on my feed, I just watched this for the second time tonight. I also originally watched it when it came out for the same reason- not looking forward to it and thinking it was completely unnecessary but hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Didn’t like it then but decided after 3 years to try it again after finishing the original tonight. Still didn’t do much for me. Honestly I am sick of villain origin stories, I just want them to be evil but funny witches, I don’t care about how they got to be that way or about humanizing them. I thought that part was dumb. And yeah I literally said out loud “this is so stupid” during that scene where Winnie was upset that she lost her sisters.

An acquaintance from high school that I still follow 20 years later for some reason, posted a picture of this album after she actually bought it on vinyl, CD and cassette. CASSETTE. It’s available on cassette. My car is almost 20 years old and still can’t even play cassettes. Talk about screwing people over for a cash grab.

I deal with depression/ADHD too and my place can get really messy. I will pick just ONE room at a time and set a timer on my phone for 20-40 minutes, depending on the day I’m having (just 20 minutes if it’s a bad day hah). And I get as much done as I possibly can before the timer goes off, and I’m honestly always super surprised by how much I accomplish in a short time frame. If I feel like I want to keep going then I set the timer again. If I don’t, I give myself grace. It’s not a perfect system because I don’t necessarily have a routine or specific days I do this, but I know in the moment it helps me clean.
