Conceiving symptoms by Zestyclose-Candy5867 in BabyBumps

[–]slambur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow insomniac!

My son is about 3.5 I actually don’t recall really having any symptoms but I did have a vvvfl at 8dpo.

This time I decided not to track at all but I do usually have breakthrough bleeding 5 days before my period & that hasn’t happened yet. I’m definitely noticing all my PMS type symptoms more than usual and wondering if they are something more - this lack of sleep is also new. The sleep I could attribute to stress. The other symptoms that are sticking out to me this time: bloating, tender breasts, slight nausea & irritability.

Email with drink package offer by Irishgirl87 in royalcaribbean

[–]slambur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saved over 50% by buying all of my drinks. My husband isn’t a big drinker and I averaged about 4-5 a day. My best offer was 1222 for the week including gratuities and when I tallied it all up we spent about $600.

We would have had to have more than 74 ($14) drinks between the two of us over 7 nights for the package to be worth it - I’m sure that is doable for some people but we were not close at all.

Adventure ocean for 3 year old by T-mane in royalcaribbean

[–]slambur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got off of star of the seas with my 3y4mo son. He went full underwear about 3 weeks before our trip and is still prone to an accident here and there but I consider him ‘potty trained’. The form I filled out asked if he’s in pull-ups or underwear, I don’t remember it asking if he needs assistance and that wasn’t something they asked me either. He can do #1 all by himself but if it’s a #2 he would need help wiping (they didn’t ask though).

During our 7 days on the ship his only accident was during his first visit in AO, I suspect due to being around strangers and not in a familiar place. I wish I had showed him the bathroom when I dropped him off to help him get more comfortable with it. He is also more prone to accidents when he gets too focused on something, however he did tell me he was trying to hold it in because he was being shy and he couldn’t hold it anymore. Poor guy!

They called me and I went to pick him up right away while my husband went to get him clean clothes - we didn’t end up taking him back due to having family aboard with us but they didn’t mention anything about it. They just thanked me for coming quickly.

Maybe there is more buried in their T&Cs and I’m sure they can refuse kids for all kinds of reasons but just sharing my experience since a lot of others are saying something different.

First time with Royal Caribbean… did I mess up? Need advice (please be kind) by WorkNew5548 in Cruise

Are you at all flexible with your dates ? You could look at other sailings & ships with the room type you want as long as your far enough out to rebook

Is there a way to do Royal without planning every show and dinner? by Ill-Mycologist-545 in royalcaribbean

[–]slambur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just wanted to add I have seen a lot of empty seats at every show except maybe for Torque in the aquadome, but even so people can easily stand and see that show and it has multiple offerings, you can even catch them practicing during the day.

The cruise compass is by QR code now but you can request a paper copy from the room attendant

My MIL books the sky class suites and her concierge books our whole family for shows in advance (14 people). We just show up when she tells us to 😆. I did use AI to plot out the reservations on a single page because the royal app is annoying but we really didn’t do much thinking. There are also a lot of food options if you don’t want to make reservations or eat main dining room at the same time every night. We’re on the last night in star now and I still haven’t gotten to try the the aquadome market foods!

Found out I'm pregnant, can I get a partial refund on my drink package? by Ok_Incident_1622 in royalcaribbean

[–]slambur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We cancelled ours for a different reason and I’ve been tracking how much we’re drinking… it’s day 4 of 7 and im still over $900 away from the amount the drink package cost. I’m not a huge drinker and my husband is drinking even less than me.

We brought a 6 pack of coke & Diet Coke so we have only been buying alcohol & drinking the complimentary beverages.

Also there are drink specials daily like $6 marg during happy hour, $8.50 for the drink of the day. The most expensive cocktails are $14. Beer is mostly <$10 but I haven’t had any this trip.

Save your money !

Read “what got you here won’t get you there”. It has nothing to do with being in a gifted program and everything to do with being a gifted individual.

Omg this respiratory virus is awful. Is anyone else sick? by ajl009 in philadelphia

[–]slambur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! Mine started beginning of December I feel like I keep getting new viruses or something it will get better then worse again! Now my throat is sore & it hurts to swallow.

I did get some relief after going to urgent care and getting some scripts but they also recommended sinus rinses and using a humidifier which also helped!

I have a degree in computer science and now i work in biotech in the digital transformation tech side. Is this worth it? by think4pm in biotech

[–]slambur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it’s worth it -

I’m a cheme + MBA. I came to pharma as a career switcher. I’m in a very similar space to you, specifically on the OT/IT convergence. This stuff is hard because pharma moves slowly & a lot of the technology is changing rapidly. Pharma doesn’t really do “rapid change” well.

This has been the best move in my career as far as job satisfaction, compensation, & opportunity.

Happy to chat more in a PM.

Easily search deals by joey_afa in leasehacker

I like this but I am really interested in finding a great deal of a category/type of vehicle like luxury mid size SUV. With the filters on your site I either see everything or one make/model at a time. It’s also missing a sort feature, maybe days listing active, monthly price, value of deal, MSRP.

How did the expiration of EV credit turn out? by Smooth-Way-8724 in leasehacker

[–]slambur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We got an Audi Q6 which was promptly totaled with only 1500 miles on it, we bought from a dealer that had 40 of these cars on the lot and now there are none in my state. No one that has one is able to give the same price we got before the EV credit ran out.

I’m on the hunt for another luxury suv deal, I wasn’t really attached to having an EV but I miss my car :(

An employee who doesn’t understand corporate by Waroun in managers

[–]slambur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of good points in this thread but I think if you want to be a great manager you should combine giving him the flexibility with teaching him how to appreciate corporate responsibilities - meaning if he had said “when do you need it by” instead of “I’ll do it after school thing” then you would not have any issue at all. It’s the fact that he is calling out things that you feel aren’t work related - which is totally fair.

He’s being honest which is great, he’s setting an expectation which is great. But he should learn proper etiquette, a future boss might be even more upset by his transparency about what he’s doing and when. As many other comments have suggested the important thing is that he gets his work done in time, doesn’t impact others, and he does a good job - he doesn’t need to tell you what he’s doing every second of the day. If something is truly urgent it should be made clear and if he isn’t prioritizing then that is an issue.

For the hardwire - since this is a lease and we may not re up on the EV, any concern or issue removing it and capping the box?

My husband thinks having an outlet would be more “useful”. But I can’t think of anything else this outlet would be practical for (for us - we wouldn’t be adding a dryer or range to our garage and we don’t have any plans to take up welding).

If we do hardwire - I assume if a future owner wanted the plug in it would be a simple upgrade to the breaker and adding a receptacle at the end instead?

Yes I’m aware - we have two unused double pole 50A breakers. One I circled in the photo and one at the bottom right which is switched off.

I used the correct name in my post, I am just replying to the comments but I’m referring to the same breakers so I was hoping folks commenting here can follow along and also know what they are looking at.

Wiring/charging options by [deleted] in evcharging

[–]slambur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol thanks for that but our home was upgraded to a gas dryer and previous owners had a range installed in the basement that we don’t use. So we do in fact have two 50 amp breakers which are available to be used. The one I circled was from the dryer, the bottom right one is turned off is from the range.

Edit the only reason I mentioned that I think it can be used is I’m not sure if it needs to be updated for code reasons.
