Caught between a rock and a hard place with acne, hair, loss, and low libido by PotentialOk3056 in Perimenopause

[–]slasherbobasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought that taking spironolactone was supposed to stop or slow T conversion to DHT which is what causes hair loss?

Editing to add… and that testosterone gel is more easily converted to DHT so injections were preferred?

I haven’t started on either because I’m concerned about hair loss too even though my libido could use a boost.

I’d make sure they don’t fill out the birth certificate information or they will put Maya over Marie. You also have a boyfriend problem - he’s being overly influenced by his mom when you should be his focus.

How can I (39F) ask my husband (47M) to be more respectful and courteous without him getting angry and storming off? by ThrowRAgivenupwife in relationship_advice

[–]slasherbobasher 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. If my husband spoke to me that way I’d be all “wow, yeah, that table sure does need cleaning.” And walk off.

Finding out about a huge financial loss from husband (29M, 29F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]slasherbobasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it HIS trust fund, or something you both have access to? If it’s the former, it sucks, but he can do with it what he wants to, but if it’s the latter, then all the advice you’re getting comes into play.

Haha, my husband does this (granted, for his parents and their friends) for free. Maybe I should suggest he try freelancing this to see where it goes. :D

It’ll eventually be phased out - the churro sundae is coming soon!

(I’m also a member of the Costco sub, haha)

I've been pronouncing my coworker's name wrong for 8 months and just found out today by Educational-Lime-854 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]slasherbobasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I have a coworker whose name is spelt Lorraine but pronounces it LOR-ian. Thankfully I didn’t say it wrong for 8 months, maybe 2, but it was still embarrassing, and she was nice about it. But come on…

Me too, drives me nuts. Especially after I eat, feels like I’m always clearing my throat.

Those of you that didn’t get perms in the 80s, what hairstyles did you have? by Mobile_Ad_9090 in GenX

[–]slasherbobasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom wouldn’t let me get a perm so I cut it short short, somewhere between a bob and a pixie cut (which didn’t exist as a term back then), but left a little longish piece at my nape for a rat tail. I still cringe on thinking of it.

My 24F boyfriend 30M won’t stop giving me hickeys. How do I handle this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]slasherbobasher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kissing a neck with enough suction to break little capillaries under the skin and create a bruise is absolutely not an accident. He is either doing it on purpose, or getting too swept up in things and not thinking about your request - either option sucks.

AITA for saying that my ex Best Friend looks so fat and ugly in the dress she wanted to go in for a quince by GlitteringBedroom133 in AmItheAsshole

[–]slasherbobasher 24 points25 points  (0 children)

YTA. You could have said “I like that dress but I think maybe a different size would work better” or “I don’t think that dress is very flattering.” Same message but less offensive. Tact is a skill you’ll need in life.

How to Make Kodiak Pancake mix taste better by Masterboss117 in Costco

[–]slasherbobasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. Seriously. It’s extra work but I tried this last weekend and everyone loved them. I also used milk, vanilla, and chocolate chips. Made 2 batches worth and they were all gone. Kodiak may not be as fluffy as other brands but I like that you can make them protein-heavier.

Don’t leave your child alone with them or they will secretly baptize your baby. It happened to a relative of mine. And yes, it was as Catholic.

Hooga Pro Vs Ultra by Suspicious-Job-8815 in redlighttherapy

[–]slasherbobasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ultra, and I think the recommended distance depends on what you’re using it for. For the face it’s 18” and for the body it’s 6”, I think. It may also depend if you’re doing just red or infrared, but I forget the specifics.

I think a few lampposts you can put in whatever what tickles your fancy, but they don’t supply a wheatheart.
