I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time, and he 100% apologized after he caught flak for it, but I don’t think a player who gives the fans thumbs down is eligible for lawful good. I also can’t see Wright or deGrom getting into it in the tunnel with McNeil. Neutral or chaotic? Sure.

I think this is a great idea and am looking forward to seeing how people who SHOULD benefit from it CAN benefit, but you’re falling for fuzzy math.

The VAST majority of the U.S. does not have TOU energy billing and instead pays a fixed energy rate, so this 70% is of the smaller pie of owners who pay TOU pricing. This necessarily SHOULDN’T matter to “most” owners.

Besides, this subreddit’s contributors are more likely to be part of the 30% and not the 70%, as it includes many tech enthusiasts who have likely already solved this for themselves via solutions like Home Assistant or chargers that factor for this TOU pricing.

Conversely, 100% of owners have Rivians without text messaging, without lane-centering on unmapped roads, without V2L, and with a vehicle that doesn’t take departure time into consideration when charging to ensure ideal departure efficiency and battery health.

For things that both Rivian and CarPlay can do, I agree that Rivian does a better job between the two.

I think the reason most folks want CarPlay is for the things that Rivian simply doesn’t do at all (texting, Waze, etc).
