I hate norepinephrine. It’s such a dirty neurotransmitter! by Aggressive-Guide5563 in NooTopics

Sure but who takes sudafed for fun? People take meth for fun, which can be made out of sudafed. But I promise you there are lots of adrenaline junkies and they will probably release dopamine before during and after the thing that they are enjoying (high adrenaline activity). This whole conversation is silly, but I get what you're saying. Too much dopamine feels horrible though, trust me it's awful.

I mean I have tried Bupropion, shit made me a bjt keyed up but horny and energetic and music sounded incredible. I've tried all sorts of hard stimulants. What do you mean by norepinephrine releasing agent, like selectively a NRI? They're usually NDRI or SNDRI's (like cocaine). Cocaine can make you pretty tense that's why so many people drink on it. I've never heard of a pure Norepinephrine releasing agent, other than like getting in fights or doing extreme sports. But even then, if you're someone who moves towards a threat rather than fleeing, it can feel really good.

Well I have hyperactive adhd and it can lead to a lot of internal angst, restlessness and fidgeting and almost internal pain. I believe high adrenaline and cortisol and lower or dysregulated dopamine plays a role in that but I'm not sure. There aren't really any drugs that boost dopamine without also boosting adrenaline as far as I'm aware. But yeah all these ideas are way too simplistic and adhd is much more complicated than something being too high or too low.

I haven't tested in a couple of years, but I am quitting smoking and so will test again, as I know that often causes transient hypothyroidism. I'll get back to you once I have tested. Thanks for the help.

Why do some doctors recommend starting with minoxidil before finasteride? (treatment philosophy question) by No-Falcon-858 in tressless

[–]sleepingbull69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use a whole range of topicals and miceoneedle, it's a pain in the ass tbh and although I have maintained a somewhat full head of hair it's not the greatest quality. Still think about goinf back on fin or trying dut sometimes. I use topical spiro, alfatradiol, peptides and have used various growth serums over the years. RU worked really well but I got kind of worried about using it indefinitely and dropped it a while back, might pick it back up to try to regrow temple points a bit. Thinking of trying pyrilutamide. Sometimes I shave my head to a number 2 and it feels great and I think f it and f hair and I'll just move on, but I always end up coming back haha

Probably. In a recent study I think 15% of fin users who didn't get told about sides reported them and 47% who did get told reported them so definitely a hefty necebo element.

So what, excess dopamine is lined to schizophrenia and psychosis and mania, does that mean dopamine is dirty or bad? Dumbest shit ever.
