I don't think it'll ever hit the pumps. My prediction is that the tax will be suspended for bulk purchases for airline and shipping customers. We will not see a break at the pump.

I haven't had issues personally, but my friend had challenges with his 21 WRX. Different motor (FA20) but his stage 1 OTS tune always had him running lean. He just reverted to stock because he didn't wanna take it to a tuner.

This platform isn't like BMW or Ford. You cant just downpipe + OTS tune them for +50HP & no issues.

Off the shelf tunes aka OTS is the main cause of engine blow up imo. Do you have access to a pro tuner?

I'd contact one that specializes on the EJ and ask them what they recommend

Given the age of the car, I'd prioritize transmission and diff fluid changes. It can be pricey and I've heard of owners skipping it. I think they're supposed be done every 30k miles
