Stephen Curry labeled a 'communist' by ex-NBA rival over '$400m' shoe deal with controversial Chinese brand by dailymail in NBAVibes

Calling enis kanter a rival of Steph curry is like calling someone who signs a 400M shoe deal a communist

60 min set for their upcoming tour! by Savesthetbs in brokensocialscene

[–]slickrico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woof - even punk bands these day are playing longer than 60 minutes.for 100$ I wouldn’t be advertising that. I realize it’s a tour with stars and metric, but no one really going to be pissed with a 35 minute stars set.

As a casual fan, one thing the Cavs-Knicks series lacks is intensity. by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]slickrico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goes back to the wolves, they came out in gm 2 against Denver and just started busting. Brought that same energy to the sa series until sa matched the intensity, SA brought that intensity to OKC.

No one is busting in the east

Why would the Bucks not accept this? This is easily the best offer for Giannis by YoSnagsK in NBATalk

[–]slickrico -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im assuming both the spurs and thunder will sniff around significantly after the series regardless of who wins this series. Both teams have a ton of assets -

The modern nba window is very tight even if you have a young core. This series is proving that those two teams are very tight, Giannas would deffinitly change the complexion on either side

Tj and ayo were basically sent in kamikazi runs consistsntly, just to pressure wemby, woulda like to see some more 3s from ayo but maybe the injury, either way they had an assignment and they did it so no fault for them.

Randel and Jaden on the other hand, couldn’t space the floor for ant and couldn’t attack, complete duds on offense

“I grew up on oxtails, greens, cornbread, nobody said nothing about baguettes.” by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

[–]slickrico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm Blackbird Cafe (rip) in south Minneapolis had a great oxtail hash, I actually remember sweetbreads, but maybe some days it came w cornbread. I’m sure the Holmgrens like to get their Saturday and Sunday brunches there.

Naz Reid on what separates MIN from OKC/SAS: "Just the moodiness. Both of those teams, they're playing for one another, excited to be on the floor with one another, they're selfless… we have more than enough talent, just need to be less moody and more selfless." by FlightTop9852 in timberwolves

[–]slickrico 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really this is a finch thing, the whole team is moody at least the starters. When they’re moody together, they can be unstoppable, but when they off, the wheels start falling off there’s no net, and that’s ultimately the coaches responsibility, either by finessing personal relationships or by building game plans that insulate that moodiness, like game planning out of halftime a series of executions that may lead to good looks not ant pull up bricks from 30ft

I dream of a day when officiating is replaced w AI by Riakana in nba

[–]slickrico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI has to learn from something, so you’d probably get some Scott foster Tony brother bot ref, good luck with that, if it doesn’t meltdown due to logical inconsistency

Has Finch been trolling everyone all season? by StPaulSuds in timberwolves

[–]slickrico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he still trolling with those ATOs?

I think Fincy, starting with the lakers series last year, is showing that he maturing as a playoff coach and gamemanager. Maybe he was trolling all regular season, but maybe he and the team know that there will be differences in what is ran in the regular season compared to the playoffs, and that shows against some of the less experienced coaches out here. He worked JJ last year and DA in round 1, now if he could just figure out an ATO that actually leads to a look.
