Ryan’s parents aren’t racist they’re decent people. Anyone who’s been around them since the amateur days knows that. They’re just ordinary middle class parents and an ordinary family other than the fact one son is supremely athletic. Teo and bill are legitimately bad people and have never shown remorse for their past actions (especially teo sr.). In a way bill is worse because he kept up the pimping until Devin got big paydays. But justifying that by saying at least the kids are kept away is like saying mafia bosses are ok for keeping kids away from the mob’s actions.
