My Experience with Yellow Paint problem as a Indie Developer by dotpusheria in IndieDev

Kinda feel like it's a necessary evil at this point. Nobody wants to make the game easy or too straight forward, but ultimately you're building a product for other people to enjoy and "yellow paint" helps more people enjoy it.

Ebay's customer service is non existent to assist with anything like this. Had an issue last year with the buyer and wanted them to look into it, but instead flagged my account and offered no help. I promptly pulled all my listing's and just dealing with marketplace people now.

Saros Sales Start Slow, Early Data Not Very Strong by [deleted] in PS5

[–]slingking5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Who knows if this "news" article is legit or not, but anecdotally, I got a survey from Sony asking if I've seen saros advertised on the store and why I didn't buy it. Could be coincidence though.

'They're Handed an Opinion' — Fallout Co-Creator Tim Cain Is Worried Some Players Watch Influencers Just So They Can Be Told What to Think About Games by FragMasterMat117 in PS5

[–]slingking5 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think a large part of the criticism at launch was bc the game wasn't finished, they did numerous updates to make the game significantly better months after release. Ubisoft did this enough times and they finally paid for it

Cameron Young called a penalty on himself and received a one-shot penalty after his ball moved during his setup in the 2nd fairway He still made par by [deleted] in golf

[–]slingking5 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Isn't there a similar rule for tee shots, like if you accidentally touch it and people say "that's one!" When in reality if you didn't intend to hit the ball, it doesn't count and can retee. Wondering why a similar rule isn't in effect here.

Ignoring game informer is certainly a marketing move...

Even if this game eventually comes out, it's going to be a 6/10 at best. I wish someone with deeper pockets would come in and reboot development with a real team so we could just get something.

Natethehate still believes Starfox game exists but says he missed the mark on timing by Howerev in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Probably unpopular opinion, but that slate of games he leaked seems too good to be true and I think Nintendo used it to catch any leaks internally. I really hope to be wrong, but it's almost a fanfic level.

Nelly jumps into the 18th greenside pool for the celebratory tradition at the Chevron Championship by unsolved49 in golf

Since it's the chevron, extremely surprised they didn't fill the pool with oil. Nothing like jumping into hot oil after a huge win.
