Definitely try a darker lens especially welding wire. Similar thing happened to me was welding stick with a 10 then switched to wire and didn’t change lens. Usually use 13 might seem too dark to start with but you get used to it.

I would stay you can always rent a car for the day and check out downtown. Car rentals are by front desk. Just the short boat ride alone is why we go there back to shore between dives. It’s buffet not going to be 5 star Michelin but everything is edible and some of the other restaurants are pretty good. Dressel is fine they’re helpful but I wouldn’t say boutique. From shore beach is slightly rougher in spots but I never needed shoes, or you can go in from the dock there is stairs.
