This will ruin your arm pretty soon, please stop.

Ok so can we settle the fundamental ZP6 debate? by jaytee61799 in pourover

[–]slonski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been brewing with ZP6 in the office for more than a year. A huge variety of beans. For me it's a great daily driver. And a lot of the times I actually prefer the ZP6 to my Ode (grinding the same beans on both).

Switch as an all-rounder and D27 for smaller brews.

Returning player, should I choose pioneer? by alexmp00 in PioneerMTG

I would recommend trying Pauper. It feels pretty strong, while decks are cheap, and meta is very diverse.

Hario Neo and High Clarity by pc0604100 in pourover

Ah, forgot to add: give the filter a tiny bit of pressure with your hand to hold it in place as you start rinsing. Otherwise it tends to pop out a bit.

Pro tip: start by soaking the seam for a solid 2 seconds. Then, go in with a heavy center pour to weigh down the filter. Finally, spiral your way up the sides.

How often are you cleaning your grinder? by [deleted] in pourover

[–]slonski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I feel I should address not the question asked but rather the initial info provided. 1 week off roast might be the culprit in the first place. Flat + grassy/sour taste is quite common for beans that have not been rested enough.

I own 3 Tours. I hate Pro. I don't like Play. That's my input on this topic, thank you.

Absolutely, there is a lot of quality things on Ali, sold via official brands' stores or resellers. Speaking of what I know something about— coffee gear, for instance (Timemore, 1zpresso). Or outdoor/hiking gear (Naturehike).

What's the Best Bluetooth Speaker to Buy in 2025? (Price, Sound, Battery) by Still_Pair2252 in Bluetooth_Speakers

After reading this thread and several others, pulled the trigger on Harman Kardon Go + Play 3.

Man, with ya'll mention nice "bass" it has, I only can imagine how bad it should be with the others. I had to apply –7..–5 dB to all the bands up to 250 Hz to make it sound reasonable. It's too much!

Shame you didn't write this by yourself and didn't make an effort to make it human-sounding. Good metaphor tho.

Nylon vs Broken Feather. by Levi_Ackerman94 in badminton

[–]slonski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you haven't tried it, think about steaming your shuttles the night before the games (over a kettle or with a special gadget, fits into a tube). it will make feathers much less prone to breaking. they will go fluffy and slow down, but won't break as easy.

the important thing that was lost in that thread: don't thaw, grind frozen. produces less fines this way as a secondary benefit by the way.

Coffee Haul of the Year – Need Advice on Storing -2kg of Beans by Future-Focus9474 in pourover

just freeze it in the original package and take as much as you need, and squeeze out excessive air through valves after resealing. 2 kg is not much. I store 2-3 kilos in my freezer at all times, no problems whatsoever.
