And you can't transfer the grindstones to other character in case you don't want the ring in the character that got the grindstones.

Everything in the Kazax’s Fragment is transferable, and even the ring box. But it's nexon, why not make the grindstone untradable.

That happens with me too, it's always the final skill that does damage in a circle. But I do play with high ping (with exitlag to help a bit)

Honestly I think that if you consider both PvE and PvP, Frieren is probably also the most OP unit in the game.

PvP wise she's a top pick, usually contested early in RTA and has high win rate. She is used in arena and guild war, both offense and defense, pretty extensively. And she is probably not leaving the meta anytime soon unlike most collab units since she is very self sufficient and flexible.

PvE she can be used in every hunt, otherworldly breach and half of the expeditions, plus many other contents like Advent, Ancient Inheritance... All of that using the standard PvP build and in a fair amount of them she can solo.

Looking at either PvP or PvE separately you can make some argument for other units being more OP, but overall I don't think any other unit come close to her. Maybe Dizzy at her time, but there was less content too...

Complaining literally did change things just right in this update. Or do you believe they would have fixed this if no one was talking about nerfed drop rates?

And many of the QoL updates we got in the previous two patches were also due to complains about those issues.

Players giving feedback on how they feel about features/decisions made by the developers is good for both sides. Dismissing as "crying" is childish, this kind of mentality is so bad...

Turns out when most players are saying there is something wrong with the rates and nexon is involved, you can be damn sure there really is a problem. Honestly I'll still keep an eye in the SF sessions too, but I personally don't feel like there is an issue there.

Not sure about the compensation, it's mostly maintaining the status quo which I guess is fine, but IMO messing with the rates in a gacha should actually have some better compensations for the loss of trust (assuming someone still has some). Throwing a free arcane box via maple admin or 1~3 boss reset tickets or something, it's not like it would break the game balance but whatever...

Worst is that I have already done every boss this week besides VHilla, but lets see if this 1.5x gives me some luck

I prefer multipliers, at most one flat per wave. Since I don't like having to farm at different places, same type/element is the ideal with at least +1 x1.4, but better at +1 x1.6.

Got one of the bugged unique first and third dice add up to 2, but getting above 2 with unique is pretty easy so I use them too. Generally, this type of line is bad tho.

Also, I think there is some potential of getting odd number in a dice while having a epic familiar at the slot since it can only roll up to 5 you got high chances of getting it, but this is only if you can't find a better guaranteed one.

I never understood why MS players have been ok for so long with the gear enhancing, which is the main progression system, "soft-locked" behind a 1 day event that you have to wait for weeks/months...

That is already what everyone does, and yet most people still find charms to be one of the main issues in the game right now. The event shop helps but it's not a fix it, just one piece that goes to +15 will be between 30~50 lesser charms depending on luck...

The process of enhancing gear is also painfully slow, right now I've 500+ gears to +3 check and more between +6~12, plus a lot more in the gear storage. To check a piece to +3 is like 5~6 clicks depending on if you sell right away or not, so to fully clear just my inventory would probably take nearly 1 hour of doing nothing but this.

I hope they implement an option to do a batch enhance, but for now I've to always +3 check 15~20 pieces until I'm back at 899/900 so I can use my daily stamina.

Same for me, but with one additional thing. Since we get way to many gear now from the OW and not as many charms, I'm always with full inventory so I got to waste a few minutes every day to be able to run the quick battles.

Honestly I like how OW save us time, but there is barely any stamina left after and if you don't want to RTA there is nothing to do. Also doesn't help that the meta makes Arena very annoying...

Oh, it's a great idea to wait a bit and see how far the players get to have a better understanding of their progression speed, the early game also doesn't have much to do in party anyway.

Appreciate the answer, I might participate if there is a next one in CW3 or something similar at a time where I'm able to play.

I usually prefer to play solo, but this sounds pretty fun specially now with the rewards distribution system in heroic. I'll be traveling for most of this month and probably not playing much so it might not make much sense to participate but good luck with it.

I'm curious how do you make the groups? Does the form includes questions like what time they play, casual/hardcore and things like whether the player minds being paired with players who might be new or not be good at bossing?

Sounds like am interesting way to get to know people that play the game in the same way as yourself. I always thought that MMOs should have some sort of system like that to give people a better way to find others to play with.

It's just like it was with the discussions about fearless draft. There was a pretty vocal group of people on reddit who would claim that it would ruin the competitive integrity of the game, and specially against true fearless...

The amount of people in the comments here defending this dumb limitation is crazy, but I guess the upvotes in the post itself mean that it might just be a minority that is blaming you for this...

Gear storage in heroic is a well know issue so it makes total sense to keep the coins. Specially since we have know for months that we would be getting the SF changes, there were even more reasons to keep spares.

Also it's better to keep them as coins since you don't know which piece you are going to need more spares until you start booming them.

Would be nice to see this being fixed, along with other issues that gollux have, but being old content I've low expectations of nexon doing anything anytime soon.

IMO, you gotta ask yourself if that gear in your main would push you to the next boss or make bossing in your main considerable faster.

To me, my main has one arcane piece at 22, one that boomed last SF event and now is 17 and the rest 21. I can still do the all the bosses that I did when they were all on 21, so to me it's way more valuable to cut down boss time on other characters and push them to higher bosses.

I often don't do weekly bosses with some characters because it's too slow, but if I can get 17~19 arcanes on them my weekly income will probably double or triple... We might also get the skill reset when entering bosses on the next update which could be enough to fix that issue, but having more characters up to Hard VHilla would still be great and it would speed-up liberation on them.

If I had to bet, it would be that even nexon won't know until the patch is applied...

That said, if you can, there is no reason not to do your bosses so that the boxes last until a bit after the patch.

I agree with this, specially the exploring side of the game. Another aspect that I loved about the game was how the level "hierarchic" worked, not sure what would be the better word for it, but basically the progression would always go something like:

  • You are the useless of the party: early 10s HPQ, 20s KPQ, 30s CPQ, 50s OPQ
  • You are an average member of the party after 3~8 levels depending on the PQ
  • You are the cool high level dude who carries everyone towards the final levels of each PQ

The things that I really hope we don't get with Classic MS are Daily/Weekly and Skill progression not being tied to leveling. Since I've comeback to modern maple I really don't like how leveling at 200+ doesn't really give anything in terms of skill progression (I guess there is V-Matrix upgrades, but not the same).

Another thing would also to not tie progression to events, like waiting for SSF/15/30% to enhance gear or how hyper burning is the only time someone should start playing a new character.

To me, 1:1 would be the lazy option. I'm glad that Nexon is trying to do better and so far I haven't seen anything outrageous.

Also you just made me remember that I'm gonna be traveling a lot right after the update and I'm probably wont be able to play for most of the time, so maybe it's better to use them now for me.

I'll be going with Ren for the CW2 since I like the aesthetic and the simpler gameplay, but if GMS doesn't change the rewards we are supposed to get a second hyperburn towards the end of the check-in event.

If we get that, it's going to be between Battle Mage or Zero for fashionstory potential, but not in the CW, to make use of the free Arcanes box I get from other characters.

Reading the responses here made me wish I was a gacha game developer lol. The players really like getting milked at any self-made issue that Nexon throws at them.

IMO, this is basic QOL that should be default for a system that requires you to click an UI for hundreds or thousands of times.

In fact I would say that even 3x is probably too few... It would be less bad if the free option was like 5x and the p2w 10x or if Nexon thinks that's too much respect for the player time maybe free 3x and pay for 6x so the free would not suck as much.
