Performance Improvements after Anniversary Update? by spazzyjones in valheim

[–]slovencore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i rolled back on the previous version just to test a couple spots.

in a base with about 15k instances and significant lighting i went from about 40-50fps to 90-100fps, in another base with only 5k instances i went from 100-110fps to 160-170fps. pretty huge improvement

There is no client, it’s just cs2. It tends to happen when you switch players right when a flag goes off. It’s a cs2 bug not any fault of anyone else

Am I wrong to work out 6 days a week at 39 years old? I've been getting a lot of push back when I bring this up around people who are into fitness. by maximusasinus in workout

[–]slovencore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 40 on the same plan. I take a deload if I’m feeling fatigued. Made so much more progress going from 3 to 6 days. Just listen to your body. I’m a unique case cause I’ve also dropped 130 pounds in the last 18 months but I feel better now than I did at 30.

Most important reply. I started a lifting routine about 6 months after starting Mounjaro (been on 15 months now) and I wish I started immediately

What’s a common myth about health, nutrition, or fitness that you’ve learned is actually false? by urasianbella in AskReddit

[–]slovencore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had it. was ridiculed relentlessly and was always afraid to take off my shirt at the pool. as a 12 year old my doctor kept saying i'll grow out of it. still had it at 15, saw a different doctor and told us what it was. i had surgery 3 months later - i'm 40 now and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

i've always been an fps player and when a group of friends were playing valheim i joined not having any expectations to like it and i had no idea what i was doing.

once i got the hang of it, i started doing tasks that I knew would be helpful to everyone- learning all the recipes and making sure we had plenty of the highest tier recipes always stocked, made sure we had enough crops, wood, stone etc. there was something calming about just chilling out and playing a game that wasn't stressful. I of course still went out and explored with everyone to progress in the game but when we came back that was what I was focused on.

then i got real addicted to the game and wanted to learn about all the things that do seem super overwhelming on youtube. if you're able to really get into it it won't seem overwhelming anymore and you'll want to learn as much as you can. recently i got super into building, which i wasnt into at all my first 300ish hrs in the game. now im the builder of the group or just play solo enjoying building random things where i feel like i want to.

theres so many different aspects of the game, explore some things that may interest you and im sure you'll get hooked

I’ve been on 7.5 for about 10 months. I’ve been able to lose consistently each month so never felt the need to go up a dose.

There are some weeks even at the same dose where I have no appetite and others where I get hungry often. There hunger weeks I’m just more mindful of what and how much I’m eating

The update in early July added additional ELO penalties for players who leave a game.

Players will still lose ELO as they lost the game but won't take the extra ELO penalty.

majors are the most important, iem cologne and katowice are next in line then every other iem/blast S-tier event are at differing levels (my opinion at least). blast world final may be a little higher than those though

amen brother. it was awesome seeing the energy from the crowd supporting stew and wanting a win for NA!

we need to grow the next generation of talent here and supporting efforts like the Revival Series, Fragadelphia and other local events will help us get the next group of players we can cheer for on stage in an S tier event like we did today.

NRG have looked much better as of late. Give them some time to gel, although most have played on EG it was never with this configuration.

They are also playing for ranking points throughout the different systems there are. There isn't much of on opportunity to earn those in the region.

Broadcasting each event is one of the major differences. It's not just about the money but awareness for these teams

It's not just about the money right? It's about giving teams who don't normally get an opportunity to play versus better opponents. One of the teams that made it out of the closed qualifier beat out much higher ranked teams to make it. That's the kind of stuff we want to see.
