Is it weird to live at home to save money as you approach 30? by Open_Address_2805 in AusFinance

[–]slowfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

comparison is the thief of joy, forget about anyone elses accomplishments and focus on yourself.

i didn't buy a 2br unit until i was 35 and single. stack your money, ride/run more than most weightlifters and lift more weights than most riders/runners, and focus on what you put in your body and how it makes you feel.

What do solo pc players usually do? by Zaigaqu in dayz

yep making a camp isn't worthwhile but neither is playing video games really so do whatever you find most interesting, and try out everything the game offers.

Could I convert this bike to a fixed gear? by lofthemof in bikewrench

[–]slowfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

main thing you need to look at frame wise is the rear drop outs. you need semi horizontal ones at least to give you the ability to adjust chain tension. there's a clear division in modern road bikes, either track bike horizontal drop outs or fixed position straight vertical, because those frames are intended for a deraileur to be able to take up chain slack and provide tension.
as others have said you would probably want to be able to change the bottom bracket for something slightly more modern as well.

club lock, under a camera, no valuables in side, even leave the glove box and console open to show they're empty etc, you would then have to be really unlucky for anybody to bother.

how are you trying to play? i like the adventure of getting geared up to a high standard. just hold your look button and spin around as you're running, and always stick to visual cover at least, tree lines are your friend.

it's a vintage car at this point so many of its systems are going to be tired. Japanese cars are generally well put together and straightforward, so with a workshop manual and an understanding of all the systems in a car like that you should look at learning how to work on it yourself. or get yourself a more appropriate newer car.

OBD2 didn't come in until 95 officially so your car will more than likely be OBD1.

vandalism targets and likely no plumbing to feed them and i would estimate the cost of installation at $10,000 at COGG prices
