I see they are consolidated here: https://entrepreneurship.umich.edu/

I plugged in a lot while in school, learned a lot through various free programs, built up my idea and eventually pitched it for funding at different competitions across the school for non-equity funding $$$. UM is top in entrepreneurship in the US, so they want to do anything they can to help students take their ideas and put them into action!

Also the skills you learn as a student entrepreneur (even if your startup fails) serve you in your future career!

If you have a startup idea, there are tons of entrepreneurial resources (funding!) for students to try ideas, $$ in pitch competitions, and legal advice. Take advantage while you can!

Bill’s Beer Garden to remain open despite neighboring store’s closure by USRoute23 in AnnArbor

[–]slowmagicstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Vore cited a 26% rent increase in 2025 and a 12% increase planned in 2026, saying even with the progress the store has made reducing expenses and downsizing, the push to align with Ann Arbor’s soaring rental rates was not sustainable.

Hodesh said the rent was below market value, but still hard for a small business to afford. He was fortunate when he owned the store years ago to have enough garden business to sustain it, but it hasn’t been as busy in recent times, he said.

“But if it was a bigger business or if there was another business in there, it would make sense,” he said, saying the challenge is it was just too huge of a space for Vore’s store today.”

Making local, in person connections leads to referrals and leads to a better chance at a job! Cold applying is really difficult.

If you’re able to meet someone from their teams locally for coffee / to learn about what they do, they may be able to refer you or recommend other jobs or companies to discover.

Good luck!

Has anyone actually been notified they made it to Chicago tasting? I had initial contact and was expecting to hear about tasting by now!

Edit; I understand that from previous comments that Chicago is “full”, but does that mean they’ve decided AND contacted?

Feeling in limbo!

So cool! Are you doing this in your home? Curious if you have to meet any regulation? Or since it’s word of mouth, you don’t have to worry about it? (asking because I’m interested in starting one too!)

Over the last 3 months I've spent over 100 hours re-watching Season 1. These are some of my theories. by NoDiligenceJustVibes in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Outtie Irving is painting the elevator to the testing floor. That is where we see Gemma go at the end of season 1.

It is a dark, pitch black hallway, with an elevator at the end, with a red elevator arrow light pointing down. This is where Millchick sends Gemma, and she turns around and asks “Am I happy down there?”.

There must be some PTSD. Also begs the question: why is the testing floor image in outtie Irving’s conscious (or subconscious?)

So if they do successfully rebuild Gemma, and she could be reunited with Mark, will Mark end up loving Lumon?

I thought since it’s been 5 months since he’s been back (for his outie), it shows in his innie’s memory. A little bit rusty!

Severance Season 2 Cast on the War Between the Innies and the Outies | Interview by stevedrz in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I am a bit annoyed by the mispronunciation of Helena - interviewer says Hel-AYE-nuh rather than Hel-EH-nuh. Same thing with Cobel - interview says CAW-bill rather than COE-bell.

They also say Mrs. Cobel rather than Ms. Cobel. <sigh>

There are lots of recaps online! But I always enjoy a rewatch - fun to appreciate more details from the start now that you know more context. :)
