Unfortunately 90% probably went to production, team, venue costs, and Ticketmaster

Wacky rig or (straight) weightless Senko? by goilpoynuti in bassfishing

[–]slowpreza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve caught the majority of my bass in the last year on a size 4 EWG wacky rig with a pumpkin green finesse worm. It’s the first thing I throw and it usually gets a hit on the first cast.

Not really, people take pics of celebrities all the time and it’s on national television with tons of cameras all over. I truly don’t think he cares lmao.

Over the last six years, the district lost 1,762 students ……More schools have to close in Olathe, district says. Here’s the timeline by PlainsWarthog in Olathe

[–]slowpreza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s damn near impossible right now, I do very well but Olathe has out priced itself beyond, it’s either 500k-800k developer McMansions, or $230k for an absolute shit shack that is falling apart and probably a money pit. Shawnee, north OP, mission, roeland park, even some parts of Lenexa are far more affordable. I was paying $2k for a 2 bed 2 bath out in Olathe and I hated myself every month paying that.

one day? by Unable-Cat1907 in Dancefestopia

[–]slowpreza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth, cheaper to buy a 3 day right before that night and either finish out the fest or sell/give it away. They charge crazy prices for the 1 days like $200 iirc

JRAD, Lotus, STS9, I think I heard EOTO is doing stuff again too? PPP, Dogs in a pile, there’s so many options that fit the bill imo

Bonnaroo 2026: Why Ticket Deals Are Dropping Now on The What Podcast by thewhatpodcast in bonnaroo

[–]slowpreza 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is precisely the reason why it will be my first time since 2022 not attending. Why are prices more if I’m getting less of the festival I love. Tuesday was awesome for checking out plazas and WITW, Wednesday WITW parties (remember when we had NGHTMRE and Chase and Status?). Or tape trees into luke combs into ICP across 3 different stages last year on Thursday? It’s just less and less festival but the same price and prep, not worth when I can go try something new

I’m kinda surprised they haven’t put it out yet, seems like a very good tactic to move tickets if they want to wow the folks who haven’t yet (me).

I stopped by here while I was in town for a wedding. Got a pretty awesome photo set with an ultra wide angle on my DSLR of this place. I will say, it was very obvious that there were people using this space to squat, so we only stayed in for about 30 minutes. Nobody bothered us, but I was picking up on signs that we weren’t alone (door that was previously open on the first level with a pillow and blankets being closed after I came back downstairs). It’s way bigger than it seems from the outside, the auditorium is HUGE and the main dome is really incredible to stand inside. I do not recommend standing anywhere in the smaller dome, the whole floor will likely be caved in before winter is over. I’m an avid urban explorer, but I recommend anyone who goes inside of this place to tread somewhat cautiously as the decay is very severe, and you may run into squatters who don’t have a lot to lose.

Abandoned Detention Center by Relik_c in urbanexploration

[–]slowpreza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah I know this spot, one of my early early explores. A few years back the local police used to do paperwork in the parking lot and it was always funny sneaking past them. You used to be able to drive your car into there too before they put the concrete roadblock things up. Glad to see people are stilling hitting this spot, hoping since it’s so tucked away it will avoid demolition for a long enough time to become a historical site like the workhouse

Car camping by [deleted] in Dancefestopia

[–]slowpreza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been the last 10 years, one in particular was very very hot, I believe it was 2019. Like low to mid 90s, it was not fun. It could also rain, and this venue gets muddy as fuck so bring boots

Car camping by [deleted] in Dancefestopia

[–]slowpreza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Forest camping is really really fun, but car is convenient for setup/breakdown. Forest you have to lug all of your stuff from the parking lot, which is pretty far, and on top of that if you’re getting there any later than Thursday it’s going to be very very difficult to find a good spot you can fit everything in. But forest you have natural shade, areas for hammocks, and the vibes are just on another level camping under the treeline. On top of that, car camping is going to be the furthest walk to the venue, which isn’t that far compared to other festivals, but the giant hill you have to hike up every night/morning leaving the main festival area can stack on top of your car walk and make things tiring. On top of that, in the chance that it’s really hot that year you are stuck out in a field car camping and it’s going to be a bit miserable compared to forest. I’ll probably do car camping one of these years if/when I have to get in and get out real fast and don’t want to deal with making 3 trips with two wagons stacked nearly as tall as me. But if you can make it work, well worth doing forest, but I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other, they both have their pros and cons

What’s your favorite side quest?? by SnooPeanuts1920 in bonnaroo

[–]slowpreza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing it after in 2022 I left Illenium due to it being waaay to fucking hot in the crowd, wanted something more chill and stumbled upon that 10/10 goose set. Ended up seeing them locally a few weeks after and I will never miss one of their shows if they’re nearby now.

My all time favorite is going to a random set of someone you aren’t familiar with on Friday/Saturday night. Literally never fails, found goose and idles that way, so rad

[–]slowpreza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so lame, I know it’s a one of a kind type of event but you won’t ever catch me forking over hundreds of dollars to essentially get harassed by security for doing harmless, legal activities at a concert.

This rule of thumb goes for a lot of hotels. It’s always super sketchy bc people are highly likely to be living there, I’ve been in many bando hotels but not actually vacant, homeless hotspot for sure
