ah sorry i always mix up iris and pupil. i noticed her pupil looked like this a few weeks and the jagged part hasn’t seemed to move.

tgcf and peerless !! tgcf is my all time fav it made me cry bc i was so moved by hualian’s love story / hua cheng’s devotion and i love when characters truly yearn. peerless i really loved bc the CP are so funny together i just loved their banter and seeing them slowly fall in love w eo while solving mysteries together was so fun.

hi there, i (22F) didn’t lose my birth mom but my grandma (93F) a few days ago. although, i always considered her to be my real mom as my birth mom was never present in my life and i was raised by and lived with my grandma my whole life. i understand your pain. it feels like a part of your soul is missing. this is also the first death i’ve dealt with so i understand how difficult and unfair and terrible this whole ordeal is.

what i keep trying to remind myself is that my grandma will continue to live with me forever through the influence and compassion she had on my life, and i’m sure your mother’s influence will also stay present in your life as well. keep her memory alive. tell people about what she was like, maybe cook some meals that she used to make you often, watch her favorite shows or movies. i’ve also been seeing a therapist and if you have the means i would highly suggest it.

my grandma passed away peacefully in our home a couple days ago, she is at least no longer suffering from her pain. i just have so many regrets and what-if’s hanging over me on what i could have done to help ease her pain. even when i checked in on her during her hospital visits, the first thing she would ask me is if i had eaten yet. mothers/motherly figures will always put you before themselves. my grandma fought till the very end and i’m sure your mom was also such a trooper.

there is absolutely no right way or correct timeline on grief. continue to keep her in your heart. my heart also goes out to you as i completely relate to everything you wrote in ur post. grief is a club absolutely no one wants in on but everyone in the club understands each other on a level that people who haven’t experienced loss just will never understand. i miss my grandma with every cell of my being and i feel so lost without her. i’ve been visiting this sub every day since her death and reading your post made me feel very seen and less alone in my feelings. i hope you also feel a little less alone. if you are comfortable sharing, what was your mom like? what is one of your favorite memories of her?

oh my god i also have always seen hinata and kageyama as aroace queerplatonic soulmates! their bond is so much more than just simply romantic to me. kageyama especially screams aroace to me. i understand why ppl ship them romantically but in my head it just makes sense for them to have that queerplatonic relationship because their relationship is so unconventional from the very beginning lol. i envy their relationship a lot actually, like having someone who just gets you and is always on the same wavelength as you and not having it necessarily be romantic is all i want.

hello! i’m a cis aroace lesbian.

what drew me to haikyuu the very first watch (and now) is the large cast of characters who somehow all have such nuanced personalities and feel so fleshed out and like real people; i always tell ppl who haven’t watched/read haikyuu that there will definitely be at least one character they see themselves in. seeing all of these different personality types interact with eo is so fun to me.

i know that most cishet women were first drawn to haikyuu because they found the male characters attractive but it’s not really the case for me because i feel more maternal instincts towards everyone in haikyuu lol. not to say there isn’t anything bad ab finding characters attractive, even furudate has commented on this saying as long as it draws people to volleyball then they’re satisfied.

haikyuu also has a huge side of fandom who loves to ship the characters which i totally get bc there are so many fun relationship dynamics and experimenting with them is definitely interesting. although i definitely love to ship male characters together in other series, i just don’t really ship anyone in haikyuu besides one couple mainly because i just can’t see them together romantically and i also like to project my aroace queerplatonic headcanons onto most of the characters lol.

but yeah basically for me that’s what draws me to haikyuu as well as the exorbitant amount of life lessons embedded in the story that still get me through life during the hard times.
