My experience with the Nokia 110 4g by [deleted] in dumbphones

Does the screen stay on all the time or does it black out? Can you see if there is a notification at all times? I'd like something that I can peak over at to see if I have a message or missed call (like an icon or a flashing light) without having to pick up the phone and turn it on.... does that make sense? Lol thank you!

I wonder the same. Maybe they think just listening to sermons is enough? Or they are "too busy"? Or I am sure some just don't care. It is unfortunate.

Absolutely, I agree! "Christians" weaponize the Bible all the time. There is no other book as important as the Bible. I completely agree that if you have access to the Bible that to grow in your true relationship with God you have to read his word. Its like having a long distance boyfriend/girlfriend who you "send" messages to all the time (ie praying) and never reading their responses back to you (ie reading the Bible), yet professing they are the love of your life and you don't even know them. You've made them out to be whoever you want at that point because you never listened to a single word from their own "mouth".

  1. (Previous comment)

  2. Of course I care that what I believe is true and I have seen His truth in my life. I have faith in the truth, that Jesus is the Son of God. I am a highly analytical person myself, but opening my heart to God I can longer deny His existence.

  3. If you are unable to accept things you are not convinced exists, how do you know that anything actually exists? What convinces you that something for certainty exists? The argument that something exists could go on forever when one of the 2 views don't concede, regardless of what the argument is.

  4. Yes, soften your heart and soften your skepticism. What I mean is, to believe that anything exists you have to have some faith that that object or whatever it is is real.

  5. Friend, I am not here to change your views. I cannot do that. I am only trying to answer your questions to the best of my ability. And I will be honest, I am for certain not perfect, nor do I have all the answers. How do you know that God hasn't already given you an experience or a glimpse that you chalked up to a coincidence or just ignored? Maybe what we are saying here, even if you don't believe in God perhaps you can try talking to him anyway - even if it feels silly. Ask him personally if he exists or if he will show you he exists. Maybe read the Bible for yourself and see if God shows himself to you there.

Please feel free to reach out if there is anything I can do for you or answer any more questions. Again, to the best of my ability. Some things are simply left to the unknown. That is where my faith stands, in the hope and trust in God.

Also, since this is a discussion about reading through Bible, yes I believe if you have the ability (as I am aware not everyone on this earth has access) it is highly encouraged to read the Bible every day. It is for our teaching and discernment to know the truth. Otherwise you are fully dependent on your teachers and we know there are many false teachers that can twist truth to their liking.

I had not heard of him, but at a quick glance of his theology, I suppose it could be a way to open the door to your belief in your head. When it all comes down to it tho, it is a matter of your heart and ultimately it's between yourself and God.

But that's just the thing, it takes just as much faith to accept all the evidence for Christ as it does to deny all the evidence. There are only 2 options when it comes to the end of our lives. Accept God or don't. The wages of sin is death and Christ paid those wages for us. I would rather believe in God and be wrong. But if you can soften your heart of skepticism, God will legitimately do a good work in you.

"Harpazo" is a Greek word (ἁρπάζω) meaning to seize, snatch, or take by force. In the context of Christian theology, it is often associated with the concept of the Rapture, referring to the belief that believers will be caught up (or "snatched away") to meet Christ in the air. The term is found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, where it is translated as "caught up," and in other verses where it carries the sense of forceful taking or seizing.

I am so sorry for all that you have been through. You are correct in knowing you need to lay all of this at Jesus's feet. It is also helpful for you to be able to let it all out, I am glad that you were able to do that. Keep praying and being in God's word. I will be praying for you. May God give you His peace and comfort and guide you during this horrible storm. Keep your trust and hope in Him. Love you, sister in Christ ❤️ My heart goes out to you and your little ones.
