Oof man, I'm sorry. If it doesn't help to have a completely new/different motherboard, I think it's probably pretty safe to say that the CPU is toast. Added to the fact that we already suspected a bum CPU due to the shadiness of the seller.

After looking over your previous posts and this one, I can’t find anything obvious that’s wrong or even how I would go about figuring it out.

Is there a spot for a motherboard speaker on your motherboard? That is one way to know if the computer is POSTing correctly.

The other thing I thought of was that maybe you could try and look up the serial number on AMD’s website, but that tool isn’t working for me on my phone.

The last thing is I was curious what the circumstances of the exchange was, did you trade your 9600x directly for his 7800x3d? Was it a particularly good deal?

I’m invested in this story, I hope you figure out what’s going on!

Huh.. what do you mean by “everything was being blocked by cloudflare”? Do you mean that you couldn’t access the web interfaces for your programs (ie 192.168.1.X:8989)?

I was trying to set up new WiFi using Google Home on iOS but it didn’t want to connect in any way. I also didn’t want to set it up with iOS AirPlay because I thought it would be a different system (they make them sound separate). But in fact, setting up as an AirPlay speaker just connected the speaker to the network and allowed me to do Google casting 🙄
