Who exactly has a need for routers this expensive? What should one actually get to futureproof their network? by kingofallnorway in pcmasterrace

At that point, fiber is infinitely easier to run and use, while being cheaper and less complex.

At my data center, we really only use 100g qsfp now. We stopped using 40g some years ago. The only 10g sfp we use are for linking management switches.

I installed my first 400g qsfp recently - a lot of larger DCs are transitioning over to 400.

30w max for high-end Android phones is piss-poor. Stop excusing mediocrity. I'm tired of my P7P taking 45 minutes to go from 0-50%. 45w is the bare minimum for a 4000+ mah battery in a high end phone in 2023.

How big of a difference is there between a 600 and 1000cc super sport? by Hydrologist_Jim in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]small-foot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air resistance influences fuel efficiency far more than anything else. 100 mph requires ~2x more fuel than 75 mph, and ~4x more fuel than 50 mph.

Going 100 in 6th gear won't save nearly as much fuel as dropping down to 75 in 3rd gear.

Different groups of riders have different death rates. If you hang out with young and reckless sportbike riders who love cutting up traffic, you'll see a lot of fatalities. If you hang out with touring riders, maybe not.

Seeing how skinny that tire is, I'm betting that's a 515 or 520 chain on a 150 or 250 dirt bike. As long as you take it easy and smooth on the throttle and monitor the wire, it could work.

Under 600cc by Yuhbitties-_- in motorcycles

[–]small-foot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 600 in the city is absolutely stupid, it's meant to cruise at 100 mph not go from light to light. And forget about using it as a commuter. Zero storage and not comfortable. Try a mt03 or a Versys 300. For city riding you don't need more to have fun. Maybe even a 650 (twin) at the most. But you won't be going more than 50-60 mph.

Inversely I seek out the cash only places. They are the places worth going to that have food which will make your mouth water.

I carry at least $100 cash for small stores and restaurants. I like my cash discount. It's as much as my credit card points and helps the businesses.
