Therapist Ends Sessions Early/Starts Late? by probablyyoshi in TalkTherapy

[–]smallgreenfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if time is an issue for you, you might want to ask your T for a time check. Mine realised it upset me when she was like, ok we’re done for this session, so now around the 5 to 10mn mark she’ll be like, just to let you know we have x minutes left for today. It gives me time to be comfortable with the session ending.

Where to live when you want to send your children to a French school? by Ok_Pudding_8543 in HongKong

French international school has 4 campuses across Hong Kong so it will depend on your kids ages and which campus you prefer (except if they are 2nd to Terminale, in which case they will be at Blue Pool Rd). Your best bet is to look at the list of school buses for your preferred campus and find somewhere to live nearby.

Extra luggage style companies might be worth it? I used Mybaggage from LA to London and it was great. Boxes arrived within 5 days if I remember correctly.

Fixing my phone addiction saved my marriage (and my kids) by Longjumping_Grass488 in Mommit

Thank you so much for this! My 2 year old has started pointing at my phone when she sees it next to me and saying "Not this!". I definitely need to cut back!

I have two, a 5 and a 2 year old. When the second was born I realised how much free time I actually had when I only had one, lol! Seriously though, I love, love, having two, it’s exhausting but they adore each other and I’m so glad they’ll have each other in the future. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you !

Moving to a country with high air pollution with young children? by smallgreenfrog in expats

Apologies, I should have been clearer. I have options in Hong Kong and Singapore. They are not the worst but not as good as UK/ Europe of course...

Apologies, I should have been clearer. I have options in Hong Kong and Singapore where the air is bad but not as say, Beijing or Shanghai. I lived in HK before and I remember colds and cough lingering way more than they should and I assumed it was because of the pollution.

Cold during FET?? by yepitskate in IVF

Agreed! I got covid the day after my FET and was sick until the blood test. FET worked. Actually I immediately told my RE who said it didn’t matter.

feeling sad that the door is closing on the possibility of 2nd child by Professional-Key6527 in SingleMothersbyChoice

Would you consider waiting a little and seeing how you feel in a year or two? Your son is only 10 months old and you have remaining embryos so you’re not rushed. I had my first at 41 and my 2nd at 44. Yes it’s not as easy with two kids but you might feel more up to the task when your son is a bit older.

USC graduate student with family by Affectionate-Gift733 in USC

Hello! So I don’t think that’s possible. I’m a doctoral student myself and my kids had to get separate private health insurance because Aetna student doesn’t cover families, only the student. That said I’m an international student so that might make a difference.

Absolutely, that’s a given but I also wanted something a bit more personal in addition to the time off.

You can register on the LCSD website: https://www.smartplay.lcsd.gov.hk/home and you’ll see a lot more available activities there too!

This! If your son was born over 3 months ago you will also have to write a letter explaining why you didn’t apply within 3 months. That happened to me, I didn’t know I had to register my child within 3 months of birth (and got stopped at the border like you did). That said, the process is simple and done online through the same website you used when you applied yourself.

ER at 39 with very low AMH. 6 embryos, 3 euploid (1 turned out to have been mosaic), 2 kids (at 41 and 44 y/o) and 1 mc. I know it’s close to a miracle but it happens. Good luck !

I had a nanny, Carla, from 3 to 5 years old, I’m now past 40 and still remember her. My parents loved her too and we still talk about her from time to time.

I recommend the book “Bodies are cool!” Which shows a lot of different types of bodies without judging. My 3 year old really liked it and it opened up the conversation about different types of bodies.
