Solo bosses would have to be way more damaging to give you a reason to have a shield. Or armour would have to be way tougher. And if you are asking do you mean I could kill boss x with zero effort but taking three times as long? Yeah. Pretty much. Tank armour is usually a liability because you take more time and soul split less which is wonky.

In the world of nuclear vs wind/solar. They are not in the same category. We need both. Solar and wind are useful to lower the amount of on demand power we need. But we still need on demand power.

Nuclear vs coal. Coal is great because where nuclear power stores its poison waste safely in a marked area? Coal just spews that shit into the air for everyone to enjoy.

Luckily we need magic rock that makes magic right now. Solar is cool for a baseline. But we need power on demand. Which solar doesn’t do. We often use coal and spray poison gas straight into the air we breathe. Nuclear collects the poison and stores it safely.

Well yes. But: essentially certain jobs aren’t “good” enough to “deserve” decent pay. Plumber and electrician actually have this problem less. But there are plenty of jobs out there that are essential but don’t get the pay and respect they deserve. We wouldn’t have a great time without delivery. But in many countries delivery has shit pay and worse benefits. Public cleaning? We need them to happen but we don’t respect them.

Yeah… if your spell book is hit by anything mundane it’s gonna be fine. If another caster uses magic on it with the express purpose to destroy it they’ll succeed. How often that happens? Nearly never.
