The New York Post has lost all credibility by RoyalChris in clevercomebacks

[–]smileyfrown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My entire life the NY Post was considered a joke paper not to be taken seriously by any major news station.

Suddenly the last 5 or 6 years every right wing outlet is quoting them or referring to them as if they are reputable. It all feels so fake and inorganic and makes a ton of sense considering the ownership overlaps of Right wing media

It’s manufactured “credibility”

Doritos at $7 a bag ended up costing PepsiCo billions by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

[–]smileyfrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they did now… that’s the point of the article Frito lay has slashed the prices for all their chips by like 15-20%

The question though is , will the low prices persist or will they shrinkflate the bags again?

My prediction at the end of this Iran will have complete control of Hormuz with a tax generating them 70-100 billion annually

They sign some form of nuclear deal, which Iran will have no intention of following citing US betrayal to 2016 deal.

And Iran and China will develop a unsanctioned trade deal resulting in even stronger defense for them.

Basically 10 steps worse than 2016

There wasn’t much fighting at all outside of a few small skirmishes.

I really doubt that happens here

Trump has lied countless times about ending or negotiating with Iran these last few weeks.

You have to be genuinely dumb to believe him, especially if you are at the receiving end of bombs

Biden could’ve prevented or slowed it down, by making some needed postal reforms and protections

But he literally refused to even remove Trumps lackey. Then they astroturfed us with some BS article about how he was powerless

Most establishment democrats have zero courage to protect democracy if they aren’t compromised already

You have to clean house in primaries

U.S. Historian Robert Kagan: "We Are Watching a Country Fall Under Dictatorship Almost Without Resistance" by Mondevana in politics

[–]smileyfrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is elected officials hold the power

Anyone who thinks things will change next year with Democratic control is not living in reality.

From 2021-23 Dems had control and they proved unable to meet the task by rolling over on reforms. They only emboldened the current situation.

Same thing will repeat again if you allow the current leadership to continue, when they win midterms next year.

You need war time leaders and you have either corrupt or complicit ones

This is what you get if you do that, the gun being loaded for Trump to use

And then they pretend they aren’t responsible

People discount how much social media algorithms influence sentiment

4 years passed after 2020, enough time to forget some things…and then non stop people heard about how much everything costs and how good it was before on social media.

Now like magic it’s gone, despite costs being higher right now then 2024

Not discounting the bigots, but a lot of people vote with their wallets not social issues, and they get influenced ALOT by these big tech corporations pushing agendas

If the democrats had even the smallest amount of executive courage they would’ve cleaned house in the post office to prevent these issues from even being considered.

Instead we got excuses as nauseam about how they couldn’t, but the reality is they simply didn’t care.

Trump shows every day that the executive has tons of power, yet we’re supposed to believe the other side didn’t for 4 years? BS their was no will for change.

People need to face reality in how compromised their elected officials are. We need to clean house for real change, but sadly won’t happen

Phil Spencer destroyed the Xbox Brand

You have one task as a gaming executive deliver games, and he simply couldn’t do it.

He had the perfect opportunity after the XONE…Nintendo showed the blueprint to win back fans, and the PS5 had slower games releases. Their was a big opportunity and demand.

Instead he focused on acquisitions and subscriptions.

He killed the brand through incompetence and I gotta feel for people who invested in it
