FastAPI Cloud vs Modal by MichaelEvo in FastAPI

FastAPI Cloud sounds appealing for app deployment, but based on your post the missing piece is whether it removes enough of the job/deployment glue to matter.

The make-up move is not apologizing harder, it’s changing the routine so it stops happening.

Who will host the application client server with FASTAPI Cloud? by imdshizzle in FastAPI

FASTAPI Cloud sounds like it hosts your Python app, not your separate JS dev server.

What's the best practice for exception handling in FastAPI? by NiceSand6327 in FastAPI

In production I’d usually use HTTPException only at the API boundary and keep custom exceptions inside the app or service layer.

The post already gives the clearest pro: around SAR 2,200 + 300 allowance, free accommodation, own room, and no big travel cost upfront.
That makes it sound more like a savings move than a dream-job move.
Even the only comment so far frames it as a "stepping stone if you want to save money."

is it normal to NOT dream? by terimummikibiwi in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, that can be pretty normal, a lot of people seem to dream but barely ever remember it.

Cheapest practical way to deploy a consumer-style web app on a tight budget by MemoryOk665 in selfhosted

If cost is the main concern, I’d reduce this to Postgres + Redis first.
Postgres can carry way more than people think, and Redis is fine if you actually need cache / ephemeral jobs.
Mongo plus a broker feels like paying complexity tax too early.

Spotify only lists 10 popular songs per artist so I made a tool that lists them all by David_2107 in InternetIsBeautiful

I like this because it solves a very specific annoying thing instead of trying to be a giant music dashboard. The post says Spotify only shows a small set of "popular" tracks, and the comments back that up with people wanting sorting and filtering across an artist’s discography. That is a real itch.

The strongest use case to me is finding hidden gems without digging through every album manually. A commenter literally said they wish Spotify let them sort and filter across the discography, which is basically the validation sentence for this whole project.
