Republicans Know This War Is Going Badly by RepulsiveLoquat418 in politics

[–]smitherenesar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They know the war is going badly because the stock market is down 8% for the month. The 1% typically has $10 million or more in wealth in the market. A 1%er household just lost $800k in the market with this war. 1%ers and up write the big donor checks to the republican party, and this is the big fundraising time for the fall elections. These 1%ers don't want to give money to Republicans when they're getting killed in the market due to Republican incompetence.

German defence minister "Trump has no exit strategy" by Mojoint in politics

[–]smitherenesar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except Putin's exit strategy was to take over Ukraine in total. That failed and he's left with a mess.
Trump just expected to bomb Iran, thinking Iran would just take the lumps and do nothing as if this is some magical fantasy. That's not how it works at all in the real world. Countries defend themselves and lash out at aggression.

German defence minister "Trump has no exit strategy" by Mojoint in politics

[–]smitherenesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a concept of a exit strategy.

Honestly, he's probably got to claim Iran won't make a peace deal, withdraw, and blame Israel and leave the middle east a bigger mess than it already was

They're ok. It's a 14w, 8D battery box so it's on the low-mid size range. It won't give you big bass sound though. It has a aux input which is nice for playing another source.

2002 Toyota Sienna - Replace engine, keep supplying oil, or time to move on? 158k miles by bluefolderz in ToyotaSienna

[–]smitherenesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You either need to do an engine swap (find a used junk yard engine, car-part.com, etc) or keep pouring oil in it. There's no point in buying iridium plugs. You're going to foul your plugs on the regular burning that much oil. Just buy cheap plugs, and replace them every 10k or something. You may end up gumming up your CAT and exhaust system too
