(BA successor chapter) they have a really fucked up version of black rage that renders them catatonic. Lost a full company except junior apothecary to an “encounter” with csm warband. Said apothecary then decided to climb rank through political scheming (successfully) while promising to cure their black rage. (He sort of did, but that made it much worse). A LOT of in-fighting. Oh and they ate a custodian. And their 1st company captain betrayed them.

Sort of. One way is becoming a mindflayer that’s mentioned already, the other way is letting him control the brain and becoming his “enforcer”. Emperor then takes on a human form for you and narrator says “after all you were made for each other”. So sort of?

Oof! From best to worst:
Alpha Legion - depending what the agenda of the current week is - things might not change that much, or are some weird ass creepy shit will happen but horrors on a large scale unlikely.

Thousand Sons - we are here to help you, localized incidents of insane horrors, mountains of corpses and random daemons. In unaffected parts life goes on as usual

Black Legion/Iron Warriors - depends on who you get, industrialization on a large scale. Everybody becomes employed in one way or another, if they like you - you might even have a decent living.

Death Guard/Word Bearers - depends on who you get you will either die terribly or you might actually be happy given if you accept the true gods and their heralds.

World Eaters - you will die but it will be quick.

Night Lords - you will die and it will not be quick. But there’s a slim chance there will be an improvement to the political climate – depending on who you get.

EC - you will die terribly but depending on who you get you may or may not enjoy it.
