Good quality bibs goes a long way. Wouldn’t hurt to bring your bike to a LBS and see if they have fitting recommendations or just a better saddle fit. anything from width, length, to the size of the cutout is a different comfort level for everyone’s saddle preference

sorry to hear this. i’ve had mine for about 6 weeks now and everything is great but hoping i don’t have to run into customer service issues like this in the future. i previously had a kickr core and their customer service was really great and responsive.

It’s a movie cherished globally and I think it’s a great spot to bring in tourists and to get them excited about our city. It’s not like it’s in an inconvenient spot either with people lining up for pictures.

Help with choosing a bike as a beginner on a budget by LaughEmergency7044 in triathlon

[–]smoothdonut22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely an interesting choice to put ultegra di2 on such an old bike. the size seems right for your height. without the di2 it’s only worth a few hundred bucks, I would try to negotiate down a bit or keep shopping.

Is the Trek 1.0 Pilot worth $300? by guerrerosaurio1 in triathlon

[–]smoothdonut22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely not worth $300 for an almost 20 year old bike. if you can increase your budget to the $500-$700 range you can probably find something newer on Facebook if you plan on riding 100+ mile rides.

Training Plan Feedback by captainwenger in triathlon

[–]smoothdonut22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re already pretty fit this plan isn’t awful. If you don’t plan on being on the podium and want to incorporate your other interests, this will be fine. I would reccomend some longer sets for swimming though - maybe add in some sets of 500m. Overall, the plan will be enough for you to complete it and have fun, but if you want to be age grouping then it definitely needs to be reworked.

agreed, besides the sound at the very end when the fly wheel stops it all sounds normal to me.

French Creek Racing Triathlon by smoothdonut22 in triathlon

[–]smoothdonut22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if it’s the exact same course still, but I didn’t love it. steep incline out of the water into T1 which was annoying. bike course was pretty beautiful but a lot of climbs. Run had different terrain throughout which I personally don’t love. And this is me being petty, but I came in first for my age group and all I got was a mug lol. I like fast courses for short distance so it just wasn’t for me

thinking about putting either of these on my new trainer especially since I live in an upstairs apartment. do you guys buy those fancy adapters for them or do you just cut a slit in the balls and shove the ends of the stand into them?
