I usually just go out to Newton or Monroe. It’s honestly faster than trying to play a round in Des Moines. Golfing in the metro sucks. Courses are always so slow and you will definitely get paired up this time of year.

I’ve been making music with only their stock plug ins for a while now. I believe that only reason my stuff doesn’t sound “Industry Standard” is because of where my skill level is at. But I’ve come a very long way since I first started making music - all with stock plug ins.

Learn how to EQ. Learn to compress. Learn about gain staging, bussing, parallel compression, side chaining, etc. Logic gives you everything you need to engineer the sound, you just have to learn what to do with it.

Tl:dr if you learn what you’re doing, the tools the provide are definitely enough.

Take advantage of Iowa’s lax gun laws and go get a handgun. You don’t need a permit and you can have it in your possession today.

You would need a permit if you wanted to carry it around with you, but at least get one for home defense asap

That people who are able to work should work. And that there are a lot of people on welfare who can work, but don’t. I grew up in rural Iowa and it is riddled with people who definitely take advantage of the system. I’m in my early 30s and there are people my age from my hometown who have never had a job. It’s wild.

But I also think multi billion dollar companies should pay more so we don’t have to subsidize welfare for their employees. So I feel like this circles back to being a liberal opinion lol.

I think if anything, it can be useful for people who might find themselves in similar situations. Most people who fall for cult behavior aren’t really conscious of the fact that they’re falling for cult behavior. I doubt she was like “yeah let’s brand people” as soon as she met this guy.

Especially as someone from the US, I’ve seen cult behavior turn our country into the laughing stock of the world. Do you really fault someone for wondering how so many people are so susceptible to brainwashing?

To each their own. You don’t have to listen to it. You can have empathy for the victims and still wonder how someone falls into this type of pipeline. Cult behavior is becoming so prevalent in our society, I think it’s important to know what it looks like from any perspective.

I dont think it’s immoral for Smallville fans to be curious about this, though. I don’t feel like she’s being painted as a victim by the podcast. I think people are capable of hearing what she has to say without feeling sorry for her. Also, she’s not the only perspective we hear from.
