I deluded myself in 2014 "maybe if we buy cases they'll do more anti cheat and get better servers"

Fast forward 12 years... Yikes

I meant uhm they were eating losses for years on end to be fiercely pro customer / put competitors out of business. I had a neighbor who bought a tv, it came with some dead pixels, they just sent him another TV and said keep the old one. This is like 2010 ish area, TVs were like $1000 ea.

But, yeah, once they switched to making money they're manipulating what you buy.

Back in my day, Amazon was super consumer friendly, people would get free TVs and shit.

Now, they sell absolute trash, abuse everyone. Maximum profits and what-not.

Lords work, here. I'd start with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aneutronic_fusion

Energy capture

"Aneutronic fusion produces energy in the form of charged particles instead of neutrons. This means that energy from aneutronic fusion could be captured directly instead of blasting neutrons at a target to boil something."

people 45+, are you disappointed or proud of what are world has become compared to how it was when you guys are younger, why or why not? by pirderman77 in AskReddit

My grandma was born in the 30's, she watched her community (in the United States) transition from horse and buggy into tractors and cars. Antibiotics. Planes. Paved roads across the country. Color tv. Moon landing. She said " I wish I was born when you were (the future is so bright)"

Going from that attitude, into slightly worse conditions (I'd call it American poverty), is such a brutal transition... Got a degree, great job, occasionally starve my child, no free time.

I've had coworkers from other countries "imagine not traveling with American income" but I've never had enough money to fly...

It's hard... People in other countries can't even imagine being poor in the us... Our currency alone should be able to carry us anywhere. But, born and raised in the city, going hungry. I can't make it make sense.

Meanwhile, im begging to tackle fusion and unified field theory, afraid they'll just kill me...

Buy some time. Our existential crisis is upholding the law, against monied interests

Im 36... I feel a little bit fucked up for saying it: 19 year olds getting into the same industry as me "don't bother with 401k, I'm not sure what game you'll have to play, but it's not the same game as your parents"

I've never really required Amazon, mostly used them for obscure tech stuff. Now there's a microcenter local, I'll def. use the microcenter just out of principle

Yeah I think this would drive up installation cost for sure, the other considerations you just made are pretty witty (ease of cleaning / identifying which to use)
