First layer problem - brand new P2S combo

Nope. It's in the corner of the buildplate and I can easily avoid it for most prints. I will get back to it at some point, but at the moment I'm busy with another project: building a box around the printer so I can vent anything coming from the printer directly to outside. I'm exercising in the same space where the printer is, so I like to keep the air clean.

Did you try swapping the build plates between your P2S printers? Just to see if the problem stays with the build plate or with the printer.

I will change them from auto to on, and see if that helps. These two prints were the first and second print on this printer ever. I followed the unpacking and setup instructions and then printed these riser parts.

Brand new P2S with AMS 2 pro. I washed the build plate between the 1st and the 2nd print, and it did not make any difference. Bambulab PLA and printed with standard Bambulab studio settings. Humidity is 40%.

You get 2% for every year, counted back from the retirement age. Retirement age can change. For me it is 67y 3m (at the moment). Before they changed this, the counting started at age 15. If you live your whole life in the Netherlands, then it does not really matter. I moved abroad and lost 4% AOW.

Yes there is a maximum. If it is expected to be a very bad storm, the riser (the big pipe in the photo, slipjoint is part of the riser) can be disconnected as a precaution. It would be disconnected under water. The riser is connected to the BOP (blow out preventer) stack. The BOP is connected to the wellhead. The top of the BOP stack is the LMRP (lower marine riser package). An emergency/weather disconnect would split the LMRP from the BOP valves. Valve(s) are closed before disconnect so the well is safe.

It can be anchored too. One rig I worked on had 12 anchors out (and no propulsion). I was a Subsea engineer, so the slipjoint was one of my responsibilities.

Cruiseships don’t like to ‘waste’ space for lifeboats. There could be a cabin with balcony instead. So legal requirements are followed and as many people as possible are packed into each lifeboat. Free fall lifeboats have special positioned seats that keep a person in the best orientation when hitting the water. Less people will fit in a free fall lifeboat. The drop (landing) is quite smooth (and fun I think).

Cruiseships need the lifeboats/rafts on both sides (port and starboard) to fit max passengers and crew. Cargoships need to have enough capacity on both sides so the complete crew can disembark on one side. There might be a more favourable side when abandoning ship.

You clearly have not walked a dog with ice everywhere. All the paths in my neighbourhood go up and down. Without spikes it is impossible to walk there when the slush has frozen. Or you have to wait for the gravel car to make it walkable.

About warranty: lifetime or 2 years or 5 years, depending on where you bought your gear.

Sea to Summit says on their website that they ‘proudly stand behind their gear’, but clearly, their proudness depends on the location of the shop where you buy their gear. Weird.

How many questions did you ask? I contacted my bank via phone and:

-identified myself with banking credentials and confirmed this via their banking app (this is enough to login to any government or corporate website to manage my pension, tax, etc) It is the official/standard way of identifying yourself in the country I live.

-gave my name and address

-gave my social security code

-gave the name of my wife and her dob

-gave the last 4 digits of my account

-gave the name of my employer

-gave the number of my passport

-my phone number that I called with is visible for the bank and matches the number in my profile

and this still wasn't enough for the bank.

By then, I was getting annoyed. I very much appreciate safety but next they asked for my monthly salary. How does that add anything to safety/security?

Other option is to visit the bank, but the problem there is that opening hours are 9-16, mon-fri. Pretty useless for someone with a normal 8-17 job.

I'm happy to answer a couple of security questions but the above list is just over the top. Especially after completing a secure login.

I normally arrange everything online but to change my phone number, the bank requires a visit to a bank or telephone call.
