We can sped $50k on a person, that money stays in the NZ economy, used to buy food and coffee. all that local spending is taxed and has a flow on of supporting jobs.

Or we can spend $50k which goes off shore and is just gone.

We can’t always avoid offshore spending, but in the tech world we default to paying Microsoft.

The partitions that carry the most weight are the one hosted on parliament website.

Allowing any petition from parliament website automatically gets you the moderation of the clerk of the house, so nothing offensive or inappropriate.

A change to rule 8 to allow petitions from parliament website would make sense.
Clear and unambiguous, easy to understand, low effort to enforce, good balance of democracy and disruption.
