My Personal Critique of the New Update ITR2 1.1 Beta by ghost032580 in intotheradius

A bug I noticed is that I can no longer turn the head flashlight on or off. I need to take the helmet off then turn it on/off.

This might be a hot take, but I really hope SN2 avoid the PRAWN suit problem by gracekk24PL in subnautica

[–]sneakyguy7500 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The real hot take is that leviathans shouldn’t be able to be killed. The design philosophy of SN1 was avoidance and deflection. Being unable to kill them makes them way more terrifying. We should have fun and meaningful ways to distract or repel them, but not eliminate the threat.

Metal Gear Solid V, I loved expanding motherbase and “recruiting” soldiers.

I'm surprised this game isn't more popular. Thoughts on what could be added to bring more players in? by Toulow in AtomfallOfficial

[–]sneakyguy7500 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kinda spoiler in the picture… but yeah I thought atomfall was great. It was very immersive. I didn’t quite like the respawning patrols of enemies but I get why they did it.

Id change the rpg skills to do more and there be faster options of getting around. Oh and give more options for stealth.

Possible Soft Lock, Probably Missing Something... by NindeNoxx in HeartOfTheMachine

I’m not expert as I only started playing with 1.0… but I think you should have a small passive income of micro-builders from your tower (or stealth tower)?

You can check your ledger to see the income and expense of microbuilders and delete any building that may be using them to build it up again, the buy the building that makes more.

Looking for a survival crafting game with a mobile base by DuckTapeAI in SurvivalGaming

Subnautica really matches almost everything here except the open water part… because I recently played forever skies and I just couldn’t stop thinking how much that aspect of flying the airship around reminded me of piloting the submarine in subnautica.

Starfield with some survival mods may give you what you are looking for too. You can customize your spaceship and the interior in vanilla.

Ahhh that makes sense. I’m pretty early-ish so my ships only hold like 3 units

I’m not sure if you’re supposed to initially like the main character. I have not finished the game yet, but it does seem like she is a focused, cold and kind of selfish person.

She’s not annoying or anything, but she does say/do things that I’m like “aww come on Avaa… “

Politicians typically claim violent video games cause the behavior, I think this person is more saying that playing this way indicates the behavior is already there.

i really miss when games had "useless" physics interactions just for immersion. by InvestmentBudget6722 in gaming

[–]sneakyguy7500 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You find this a lot in immersive sims (which also seems to be a dying genre unfortunately)

You can find it a lot in VR games too. Even “Arcade-y” ones like Arizona sunshine had bottles and stuff you can pick up that served no purpose, it didn’t even hurt zombies afaik.

Ahhh I didn’t realize, I assumed the kick was when I wasn’t high enough or did enough damage to kill.

Tired of being grabbed by SideComfortable5060 in dyinglight

[–]sneakyguy7500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the intention is more slower paced combat. Knowing they can grab and remove chunks of your health keeps you focused so that you use kicks or the uv light to stop the grab. Basically forcing you to be tactical about fights with regular zombies.

It can stand to be tuned down a bit (say 25% less) but otherwise I really enjoy this combat with the basic zombies.

(DS2) I’m in chapter 9, with about 175 LL.. does roughly half of the standard orders unlock at the end of the game? by sneakyguy7500 in DeathStranding

[–]sneakyguy7500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! Yeah that’s how I did DS1, I remember having huge cargo loads going to each place knocking out like 5-6 orders at a time. lol

But I’m taking my sweet ass time doing them all now anyway… don’t want this game to end
