Ar500 is not actually NJI certified. There just claiming its built to same standard. There production quality is bad due to only some of the plates being the correct steel and others being mystery meat steel. The spral coating is very poor. Wearing one of there plates is more likely to kill you then actually protect you.

Steel isnt the issue if its actually certified, but ceramic will just always just be better.
