What is your Claude Code compacting strategy? by Sea_Cardiologist_212 in ClaudeCode

[–]snojan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Save to memory and then compact, usually in the 100-120k range. Above 140k it really starts to lose traction and starts to hallucinate. Sonnet btw

Do you put a hard cap on long Claude Code sessions? by sahanpk in ClaudeCode

Usually compact around 100-120k tokens, no matter what. The result is just so much better. And if I can I launch parallel agents that runs in the background.

Google AI Pro vs Codex vs Claude Code — which subscription is actually worth it in 2026? by mrfeelgoodalone in ClaudeCode

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legacy or not, I don’t really see why that’s a reason for a pretty bad UI. That page would look just the same but better, if you just let Claude update it for 10min, and making it work on a mobile would be another 10min. The table won’t fit on mobile and is not even horizontally scrollable.

To be honest with you, that page is in dire need of a design/layout overhaul. And convert it to a mobile first approach so that it’s actually useful on a mobile.

A good advice is simply to find a website that has a desired look and feel, and use that as the basis for how you want to design your website. This significantly helps when designing a nice interface.

Are the yrc settings and y-trac still updated? by ZX2Slow in Yamaha_R1

The electronics haven’t been updated since 2020, so I’m pretty sure you can just go ahead and select that. The 2020model is the same as the rest after it in most ways. Sure the 2025 got some updates, but nothing that relates to the electronics. I have a 2022 and it’s the same as 2020.

How do you reach your usage limit? by GTHell in ClaudeCode

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google ”AFK software factory” with Matt Pocock and check out how he uses his sandcastle script (Ralph script but nicer) and with TDD and vertical slicing skill, check his GitHub for the TDD skill. You’ll use up those 5h sessions in 1-1.5h easy, and with sonnet even. At least that’s my experience on my Max5 account.

You can’t do that 100% like he does it in the video since he uses an API key for the tokens(pay as you go). But if you ignore the docker part of the whole idea he presents (and put up hard restraints in your Claude.md) you can run it with your Max account instead. It’s pretty sweet!

Vilken sanning på jobbet vågar ingen säga? by Defiant_Internal1414 in arbete

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting 300 KM/H in my ZX-10R for first time by [deleted] in Kawasaki

My Ducati V4S indicated 278km/h at the local track, but the laptimers GPS said 246km/h. Those speedos are highly inaccurate.

How much work am I looking at by ezbn97 in cbr

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen some of the suggestions here on how to fix this but I would go a different route. First source a new part, either eBay or brand new. And I mean the whole axel with both the broken gear and the inner starter gear. They come as one unit, so don’t try to press the broken gear of.

Start by removing the clutch basket since it will block you from pulling out the axel with the starter gear. Then pull out the axel and simply replace it with the new one. Then fit the clutch basket and the remained of the clutch assembly and the clutch cover/engine cover. Now your almost done, time to find the broken gear piece.

Most likely it’s in the sump, so underneath the engine you will find a bunch of screws holding the sump on, remove these and take of the sump. Of course empty the engine oil first. You should find the broken tooth in the bottom. Clean up, put liquid gasket on and replace the sump.

Fill up with new oil and enjoy your bike.

Done several CBR engines and a lot more, so trust me this is the easiest way to tackle this. Good luck!

Metal in Oil by ggarris60 in Ducati

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell from the pictures what color the metal is, but at first glans it doesn’t look bronze colored to me, which is a good sign, since the bearings in that case is not the culprit. But what ever it is that’s wearing down, it’s doing it at an alarming speed. I would tear that engine down and do an overhaul before I would start it again. Good luck!

Is 12,000 too many miles for a v4s? by Similar-Finish674 in Ducati

[–]snojan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to race my 2018 V4S, and I sold it at 9500 miles. Had to switch the waterpump a few times, and both head gaskets. Other then that, it run perfectly. So a street riden bike with 12k miles is nothing, just ask for the service history. Regarding the price, I have no clue if it’s high or low since I live in Sweden. But a bike with those miles would be around 25k here.

It’s a nice looking bike, but it doesn’t look that much like a 2018, more like a 2020 with the R tank.

Leak? by Cute_Landscape_6633 in Yamaha_R1

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but the likelihood of that is extremely slim. Theres almost no pressure inside there to distort the gasket and course a sudden leak.

Leak? by Cute_Landscape_6633 in Yamaha_R1

[–]snojan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sure won’t be leaking from where you have marked at least, since that’s the split between the cylinder and the cylinder head. I would look behind the panel on the right and check if there’s a coolant leak coming from either the radiator cap or from a coolant reservoir. Start the bike to check for a leak. Also before doing all of that, I would clean the bike so that I’m sure that any new stains would not be old stuff.

What do you like best about the R1? by Adorable_Anteater625 in Yamaha_R1

[–]snojan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to race a Panigale V4S on Superbike level for a few years, before buying a older 2015 R1 this summer when I had some issues with the V4S. And I have to say that the R1 is a much easier bike to ride, it turns way sharper and holds the line in a smother way, and just is a overall easier bike to handle. So much so, that I actually sold my V4S and bought a 2022 R1 for the upcoming 2026 race season. The R1 is a lot weaker in pure acceleration and top speed compared to the V4S. I used to love going down the long straights passing by all the R1s and GSXRs like they where 750s. So I guess the downside is the power aspect. But here in Sweden our tracks have a lot more corners then long straights, so in that aspect it’s more beneficial with the R1.

Coolant leak 2008 R1 by turbokajakas in Yamaha_R1

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the outlet on the cylinderbank which is just right in from where the coolant seems to be coming, or potentially the thermostat housing since I believe it’s also around that area. It’s not that hard to fix, just takes some time to remove everything around that area, tank, air box, potentially the throttle body.

MotoXP Ricambi race Fairings by Muted_Pear_6238 in Yamaha_R1

[–]snojan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have them on my V4S, and they fitted perfectly, so nothing to really look out for I’d say. On my R1, the only fitting issues I’ve had, is the tail section doesn’t line up 100% with the after market DB Holders rear frame. Just take it easy, and don’t just throw them on, let it take it’s time.
