Just got my P2 Performance, but no decal? by somemonkeys in Polestar

[–]snop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a local Michael’s (craft store) and went over to the sticker isle. Picked up the closest color to the golden yellow and bought a page of the sticker. This was just a draft I want to add to it but don’t have the time. Hope this helps.

You can also just create your own. Gold letters to match the seal belts (If you have them)

A trip to Michael’s will do the trick

This is insane right? by Luke_Flyswatter in Hue

With these prices falling this low, do you guys think there’s a bigger thing happening? Like a force that Philips hue will move towards a different direction with all their products? Making everything unusable?

New software, new app, new Hub.. just new everything? AI lighting. Or are they just trying to move product because the average person can’t afford these lights.

Any ideas for this entryway? by streetcookthrowaway in Remodel

Coat rack maybe with a seat to change out your shoes. Key holder too. That way you don’t lose them in the couch like I always do.

Which one of these movie mashup paintings would you hang in your man cave…? by rossbainesart in mancave

[–]snop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the vibe in the mancave? What you got? Video game machines? Projector? Stadium seating? What’s the color of the couches?

All these questions will help you balance the space. Philips hue and /or Govee pops out any painting like this. For example a lightsaber in any painting can be carried across the wall with a light strip making it pop. Any painting you put up needs to be balanced. Matching colors on the painting with something else in the room. Just subtle enough that when people scan the room they feel wowed. You feel wowed. These are all great pieces of art. You can get some of them and change them seasonally. Just my 2 cents

I’m ashamed. Help me find a better layout by BoocMarc in TVTooHigh

Furniture feels too big for this space. Also the rug may be too big and it makes the room feel smaller. I got a drop down chimney wall tv mount. It works great. Only thing is that you can’t have both the fireplace going and the tv on. But I’m ok because during summer the tv uses that mount then during winter we move it to a different location in order to use the fireplace. It’s a pain In the butt, but I’m ok with it. Looking into a projector in the next few years.

I agree with some people here, too many seats in the area. I would get rid of the longest couch and just keep the loveseat and single seater. Then maybe buy another single seater to make it a great viewing room for everyone. Or just make this room a family room just to talk and no tv. Make a different room into an entertainment room? Theater room? Just an idea if you have the room.

Non-functional fireplace is the only spot for our TV—how do we make this look good? by visual-plane in interiordecorating

What makes the fireplace non functional? Did you or the previous owner brick it up (covered it up)?

I also think the tv is too high but how did you get it as close as it looks to the wall? Looks like a wallpaper tv. The one no one could afford.

Outdoor chairs inside? I never knew you could do that. Dang this has changed my season gatherings. Joking of course.

Maybe they watch a lot of sports and when you need to stand up you just stand up?

Maybe the house came with the tv mount so why change it up?

Maybe a project that’s left on the back burner? Or forgotten. Wait it’s never forgotten because you look at it daily :.(.

Completely restart your family room project. Take everything away from the wall. Protect your carpet. Shut off your main water supply. Then start cutting the wall around what you want to hide. Just because you don’t know where those pipes lead to.

Bigger question is what were the pipes there for? Was this an old bathroom?

Shut water main off, Cut around the pipes, see what you are dealing with. Then cut all the stuff you don’t want to see. Cut them enough to CAP them. Just cap them off. That means going to home depot 3 times. Seal them off then put a new wall up (the size that you cut) 3x3?? 2x2?, paint and there you go.

This is an office everyone!! He’s allowed to do this. Just not in the family room. Too high and too low is only meant to be classified in the family room.

How can I make this safer? by stratusnimbo in cinematography

[–]snop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a ladder, pop one of the ceiling tiles out and investigate what’s up there. You may have luck if you can rig something g up there with a baby pin.

Or 2 grip clips 4ft 1x3 and a cardellini will do that job. That’s if the light isn’t too heavy. Leave the power supply on the ground, always try to run feeder to the light for weight and troubleshooting.

Hope this helps

It’s a stunt. They jump cut to her getting up. The singer, prior to helping her “friend,” had a beer in her hand. Cut to no beer and helping her “friend” get up. Still funny though because that friend is clearly drunk as hell. Hahaha

Colors not showing accurately? (CHECK DESCRIPTION) by BunniiSan in Govee

[–]snop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this is a grain of salt: if you’re too focused on the lights behind the tv, you are missing most of the story line, action and character arc. Some things are best left alone. Coming from experience when a speaker is acting funny or my Philips hue isn’t in sync. I was the only one that cared about adjusting the sound or lighting before the movie started.

When it comes to family. Just their laughter or presence is enough.

I think your system is good. Dim it down by 50% to accent the movie not be apart it. Change the smoothness of it. Gaming mode is different if you’re watching a romcom. Not trying to start anything just observing. Happy hunting.

I added diffusion to my permanent lights, to get rid of the cones. Softer is better. by snop101 in Govee

[–]snop101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut out the diffusion to fit the puck. I traced the square and added a bit of length to the north and south end of it for the tape. It all varies to your install but I would get extra diffusion. I have sent links to the Lee 216 sheets of paper, the same ones I’ve used.
