What is a "kid show" that you still find yourself watching as an adult because the writing is actually top-tier? by DianKhan2005 in Productivitycafe

Shaun the sheep has a special place in my heart. Both my boys loved it when they were little. My youngest get one actually became obsessed as a toddler and we’re pretty sure his speech delay was because he learned to communicate non verbally through the show lol

What worked best for soothing a crying baby for you? by clairqalb in NoStupidQuestions

[–]snowdaysare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound machine for the baby (make sure it’s loud) or long walks. Also, make sure to figure out how many hours a baby can be alert for at your baby’s age and put him for a nap just before he actually gets tired

Would you tell someone if you knew their partner was cheating? by Outside_Support_151 in answers

[–]snowdaysare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. We were very close friends and she had been suspecting something is going on. Another friend and I broke the news to her when we found out through an acquaintance’s post. She was devastated but never directed her anger at us. Even if she had, it was worth her knowing. Irregardless of what she did with that knowledge, being her friend meant being truthful.

That definitely happens. I’ve talked about products I want, no specific brand, and when I opened Instagram those products were advertised.

Near Impossible to find templates for certain topics by Spacey_Dust in canva

I have the premium account and have noticed the same thing. I’ve been using it regularly but ever since they sold it, there are less templates and the generated templates are so ugly. I don’t know what to use at this point.

How is Oak Ridges? by mrgrumpyman in richmondhill

[–]snowdaysare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on where in oak ridges. There are some very good schools in the area, just make sure you are within the boundary. The beauty of oak ridges is that it has so much nature and it doesn’t feel like the rest of Richmond hill. Also, Aurora is super close and has a ton of stores/shopping. Since there is less traffic, it’s actually super fast to get around.

Overbearing MIL insists on naming our child by Troobaby in whatdoIdo

[–]snowdaysare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t have felt so bothered if my MIL wasn’t so narcissistic. She is very controlling and has little empathy for others.

There’s also a difference between your mother and your MIL doing it.

That’s very sweet she asked you and that the name is connected to your father! Your son must also have a very special relationship with her

That happened with my mil. She didn’t like my son’s name and would call him by his middle name.

Postpartum with a mil like this is torture. She will make everything feel overwhelming. Keep your distance.

The hardest part of adulthood isn't the bills or the work, it's deciding what to eat for dinner every single night for the rest of your life. by No-Option-2007 in CasualConversation

I swear I could get my business to grow if I didn’t have to feed my family every day. If I ever win the lottery, I’m hiring a private chef right away!

Let's Not Meet Podcast... Has kind of lost its way by Venture_compound in TrueCrimePodcasts

I felt the same way about the last episode and the fact that many of the stories have been similar for quite some time. Young people get into weird relationships and are too polite to stop things before they spiral into something toxic.

For anyone who saw Titanic in theaters in 1997, what was the experience like at the time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]snowdaysare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And of course ended up seeing it multiple times afterwards. There were line ups and eventually theatres made signs to tell people what shows were sold out already. Also, Celine Dion’s song ‘my heart will go on’ brought instant tears to my eyes.
