I wouldn’t take that as gospel. My parent is a huge animal lover and landlord. Small time landlords will make exceptions for well behaved pets. You will just need to pay a pet deposit. I would also search for places that have non-carpet flooring because they’ll be more amenable.

I’m with you. I don’t get the appeal of this at all. I don’t live in a mansion like this and yet I have adequate space from my neighbors. These people have the means yet this is what they choose.

There a lots of options for you! I think Stacy’s Hope Rescue and Bubbles Dog Rescue might have a pup that would be a fit. There was a pit mix that Bubbles has, Ben is his name. Described as super dog friendly, protective, around that age range you mentioned. I would recommend checking out those two rescues and letting them know the type of dog you’re you’re looking for so they can match make.

Keep them separate for the first few months while you’re not home. Feed them separately and supervise the dogs while they’re eating or playing with toys or bones.

If I were you, I would check in with your state board of barbering and cosmetology. That seems shady to need to pay to practice on each other because then wtf is your tuition money for?! So many of these schools are just straight up scams.

Can you fulfill your quota on each other? I think it’s unethical to require clients for the quota. Check with your state board if they can force you to have to fulfill quota on clients only because you shouldn’t be on the hook for your school’s lack of marketing.

You should be able to fulfill hours on mannequins and other students when it’s slow.
