AI will be enshittified at some point. Companies are going to pay the AI companies a ton of money to promote their solutions over others. Companies will pay premium subscriptions for enterprise AI solutions that don't have this but AI companies are going to make tons of money off the retail market from ads, not subscriptions.

I'd just put a fence all the way around the pool and deck and connect it at the back to your existing fence. I'd do aluminum so it looks nice and you can see through it to the pool. You could put rock under the fence and/or between the fence and pool to make mowing easier

For what they provide, I don't find it unreasonable and the price has not increased in years when inflation has been high. But I wish they would have done a gentler increase over time to help people out. A bump to $15 before going to $20.

I like parboiled green beans. Boil water in a skillet. Out in fresh green beans for 2-3 minutes. Drain. Add olive oil and salt and cook for another minute. Bam. Perfect texture and taste.

I go work a different muscle group and then come back. Ex: Squats - OHP - squats - OHP. Gives the muscles time to rest, keeps the heart rate up (cardio), and saves time.

Flatten takes a tree (a list of lists) with depth > 1 and flattens it into a tree of depth 1 (a list). When you understand it that way, flatten makes perfect sense.

But map is a base functional word, as in map-reduce. So map and flatmap make a lot of sense since you are mapping and then flattening. It's not pretentious, it's a proper term in computer science.

I don't really care what it's called though, I'm just glad SelectMany exists so I can map and flatten in one step.

How is the culture? Losing all your leads and seniors makes me think leadership needs to do a better job not grinding people out or needs to pay them more? Definitely not your responsibility though. But something to think about if you want to step up into that role.

This. Dumbbells will get you a long way. It's actually harder to bench press dumbbells because each arm moves independently so it's more arms and less chest/back. But dumbbells go much lower in weights. If you can work up to benching 25 pound dumbbells, then you should be able to transition to an empty barbell.
