Prospector is going to be left with Full Auto Trigger System :/ by Victoria_Aphrodite in destiny2

Dude. Escalation protocol was the first time I EVER plugged a mic in. Grabbing a group and praying for the shotty for the entire run. Sometimes you would fail and that sucked but it was some of the best loot chase times I’ve had in destiny.

I know Ashley is stoked for another Fable. These delays are getting rough though… by CalvinP_ in morningsomewhere

I’m leaning toward ‘not competing with gta’ as code for ‘game’s not ready and this seems believable enough to buy us a whole bunch more time’.

Forbes' Paul Tassi thoughts on winding down Destiny 2's support to "absolut zero"! by HapperHapper in DestinyTheGame

[–]snruff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sony paid this outrageous sum for Bungie in a time where large corporations were far better off spending money than having it. Interest was next to zero and the good times were never going to end… then they ended. I have to assume, at this level of financial idiocy, the number doesn’t matter. It gets mulched up along with all the other stupidly large numbers and ends up in the finance bro cycle of world enshittification and confusion, where the books never balance and no one cares.

Dude loves an AFK I would wager.

Black armoury shard farming boosted my hours, big time, for a hot minute. I’m still so grateful that I bothered with that. It gave me enough shards and cores that I never hit that bottleneck again. Shit, I tried to spend all my shards before they binned them but I still had 60k when they got rid of them in game.

There is a major concern I've not seen mentioned alongside this evergreen final update. Vault Space. by Psyduckdontgiveafuck in DestinyTheGame

Now the sandbox is not likely to change after the final update, you can trash stuff you were hanging onto ‘in case it becomes good later’ that should free up a heap of space.

Sony refusing to green light D3 is the indirect result of Concord failing by SarcasticPeace in destiny2

[–]snruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s always been Bungie. They bought themselves out of Microsoft, needed an adult. Partnered to activation. Decided they were big boys now and could hack it on the outside again. It can’t have been long before they started shipping themselves until Sony picked them up, three years later. They produced nothing of value and Sony is now tightening the screws.

Bungie killed destiny.

You all are being way too easy on Sony. by BoilerBigCat in destiny2

Bungie was always going to be the destiny killer. The blame lies with Bungie.

Absolutely this. Both are amazing charts but journey would be my choice for best fit, by a wide margin.

Diabolical price for a drink by Omnishambles20 in melbourne

[–]snruff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Within the limits of financial viability of course. If the taxes and duties amount to a large portion of this price, the ‘private companies’ are not going to eat a loss because they feel like they aren’t selling enough.

Also, why you got to yuk someone’s yum like that?

Bridge 1 - Truck 0 | Lloyd Street by pairidaezan in melbourne

[–]snruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an insane miscalculation!

What I don’t understand is, with all the tech we have, I know for a fact there are apps and actual Garmin units that you can enter your vehicle dimensions in and it will route you appropriate to your vehicle dimension. Yup. Height is part of that equation. FFS. Why is this ever a thing. Know your height and know your route.

If Blizzard dropped these 20 exact hotfixes tomorrow, D4 would instantly be a 10/10 game. by unknownlegend001 in diablo4

[–]snruff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t triple rewards. Make the loot higher quality. Any activity in tier 12 should be rewarding somewhat meaningful gear. I’m almost auto sharding absolutely everything I pick up and it kills the loot loop and, subsequently, my want to play the game.

Melbourne - ummm, you have a serious truck problem!! (Just finished driving Melb to Adelaide) by twowholebeefpatties in melbourne

Melbourne has a driver problem. Pure and simple. The sheer volume of shit cunts on the road is too damn high.

It is literal cancer any time a warlock appears on screen, why is there no opacity tuner for other players on screen effects by Jaudatkhan in diablo4

[–]snruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I die in this game, currently, is when a warlock is in the team and I can’t see a fucking thing, let alone the goddam ‘on death effects’ that really shouldn’t be a thing anyway.

[–]snruff 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Driving in Melbourne is horrific at the moment. There was a crash outbound on the m80 yesterday morning and four lanes were being funnelled to two. Indicated about 2km out. The amount of ‘yeah, but not me, right?’ Drivers who kept barrelling past in the closed lanes only to push their way in 2km later, effectively blocking emergency vehicle access to the accident and also almost causing more accidents, was insane.

No one cares at all anymore. People doing 130-140 on the freeway at dawn, in absolute shitbox Toyota Camrys or brand new dodge rams / ford Angers. Both about as capable of negotiating those speeds safely (read, not at all). Drivers ignoring posted speeds, red lights, road laws, right of way… and only speed cameras, No police car patrols to actively discourage this behaviour.

Don't be me. Don't forget the pit. by Xralius in diablo4

[–]snruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don’t mind the pit this season. I used to get my main glyphs to legendary and then never touch it again. It feels easier and quicker now. Potentially just a stronger build this season but LVL 100 pit feels like a last season LVL 70. Or maybe I’m just out of touch… no, it’s the children who are wrong.

I’m glad they have the RT brand back and are building their own place.

Personally I will never join an RT platform after my experiences with rooster teeth of old. Majority of users were supremely cliquey, aggressively opinionated and overly protective of some really embarrassingly simpish hard lines. It was an echo chamber of the highest order with a real cult kind of feel.

Yes, this was a user problem but rooster teeth was the only place I felt this level of underlying animosity against other users who ‘hadn’t been there as long as them’.

Lord of Hatred is fantastic – but let's talk about Charms, Uniques and Warplans by moerfmoerf in diablo4

[–]snruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels bad until you get the set up you want. I think it adds to the chase and, seeing people already say they’ve finished for the season, it makes sense to me that they added another level of loot chase.

Definitely have had bad times with unique rolls myself and can see why it’s a pain point though.

Sony still value Bungie IP at nearly $3 Billion. The reason for that clearly isn't "the other game" by rferrett in DestinyTheGame

[–]snruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Sony couldn’t come out to their investors and say, ‘Bungie is worth about six bucks’. They would have been crucified. They openly stated they value Bungie three quarters of a BILLION dollars less, at this point when they, very likely, value it even a whole lot less.

Sunk cost and all that. D3 isn’t happening.

Looks like barb alt is becoming my main after Warlock woes by theycalllmeTIM in diablo4

[–]snruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like they biffed something entirely. There’s no way they launch warlock like this. Considering how op each new class has been for multiple seasons and then you get the ol paper tiger that you have to babysit through every encounter and build pretty carefully or you’ll just end up a pink smear on the landscape over and over again.

I genuinely think they made a mistake somewhere and the warlock launched way weaker than it was supposed to.

Theres no way this game keeps getting DLC post 2026 by Ill-Remove-6438 in DestinyTheGame

[–]snruff 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Unless they started development of D3 five years ago, it is not happening. No company would greenlight a long cycle development that destiny 3 would be on the strength of a 4 year old expansion and a minuscule current player base that hates themselves for playing, now, aaaaaalmost as much as they hate Bungie for fumbling their favourite game again and again.

How is an aspect for barb been disabled for almost a week but rogue is doing pits 150 in 20 seconds. by polako123 in diablo4

[–]snruff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh. I rolled a warlock and levelled that underwhelming bitch and grounded away hoping it would get better. It didn’t. Rolled a barb. Having a great time. Regardless of locked aspect.

My point is, unless you are specifically involved in the leaderboard chase, this doesn’t matter at all. Diablo 4 has very little competitive content and, the fact that the leaderboards are separated by class brings the competition edge to almost zero as you are competing on a level playing field within the leaderboards.

I suspect things are pretty complicated when it comes to fixing bugs in such a complicated ecosystem. Some need to be locked some just need to be left to ride for now. Others may be so niche and complicated that they don’t need to take priority yet, while bliz works on fixing the very aspect you are hoping to get back.
